Cartoon Network has released a new Public Service Announcement telling children they must “see color” and view individuals through a skin-color based lens in order to be “anti-racist.”
The new two-minute-long public service announcement, from “Steven Universe” creator Rebecca Sugar and Ian Jones-Quartey, was posted to YouTube earlier this week.
“It’s important to SEE people in all their beautiful COLORS. When you see color and the unique experiences that come from it, you can recognize the role racism plays in our culture AND appreciate everyone and their diversity,” the clip’s description read.
The ad consists of three characters—one white, one black and a purple alien named Amethyst.
The video starts off with a song featuring the lyrics, “colorblindness is our game because everyone’s the same. Everybody join our circle, doesn’t matter if you’re white, or black, or purple.”
“Hold up a minute here, who wrote this?” Amethyst interrupts, as the PSA turns meta. “I think it kind of does matter that I’m purple. I mean, I’m purple because I’m literally an alien.”
“Well I’m not an alien, but it definitely matters to me that I’m black,” the black character shares.
“See Color” was developed with psychologist Dr. Deborah J. Johnson, “who specializes in racial and cultural development,” according to Variety.

I’m guessing the white character does not speck, so as to reflect the cancel culture presence in our society today.
Identity politics is the most anti-human thing out there. Everyone is an individual – no matter what color or ethnicity. The left, in their effort to force “anti-racism” down everyones’ throat, is actually promoting racism with their one size fits all ideology. In their world, every black is X, every white is y, every hispanic is z. No one has individual traits, experiences nor lives.
It used to be that that thinking was at the very core of bigotry. But no more, the left has it all figured out. Tell young white kids – see a black child, he is oppressed (probably by your parents and grandparents.) Tell young black and brown kids see those white kids over there, they are all privileged, they laugh at you and they treat you like a criminal.
They are essentially putting bigotry on steroids. Not exactly where we should be headed. Oh, yeah, and ignore all the immigrants killing themselves trying to get into our country because it’s so great. They, too, must be racists. /s
Amen.
This is another version of the “false dichotomy”. To a certain extent, I can appreciate your “different culture and experiences”. To another certain extent, I expect you to behave along a certain set of basic guidelines. We call that “society”.
When your “culture” is more important than society, you are the problem.
