Crom Carmichael Reflects on Joe Biden’s History of Poor Decision Making, Connections to China, and Tara Reade

Democrat Joe Biden

Monday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast live from Music Row on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – Leahy was joined on the newsmakers line by the original all-star panelist Crom Carmichael.

During the second hour, Carmichael advocated that it was important to get the economy back open and take care of America’s economic wellness. Later in the segment, he reviewed Joe Biden’s stance on China and many of his detestable wrongdoings and current allegations of sexual assault by staffer Tara Reade in 1993.

Leahy: We are joined now by our good friend and the original all-star panelist, Crom Carmichael. Good morning, Crom.

Carmichael: Michael, how are you, sir?

Leahy: Great. I’m great. Got a little bit of cabin, studio fever. I’m ready for all of this to be over and get out and get moving again. How about you?

Carmichael: Well, it’s not going to be over but it is time to get out and get moving again.

Yes, Every Kid

Leahy: That’s a very good way to describe it, Crom.

Carmichael: This is going to be with us and we’ll find out whether or not the summer heat knocks it out for a period of time. And I suppose if it does we’ll find out if it actually comes back next year. Which it might. But in any event, we are better prepared.

But we’re going to have to get moving. And the data that we have now indicated that we need to get the economy back open and take care of the other risks that are associated with this disease that has nothing to do with healthcare but with economic wellness.

Leahy: We have a story that might be of interest to you, Crom. There is going to be a presidential election in November. And it’s going to be Joe Biden against Donald Trump. Former vice president Al Gore, you know the global warming scaremonger. That guy said they had nice things to say about each other. Biden said, if I’m back I’ll be in the Paris Climate Accord. I think Joe Biden has been wrong about just about everything hasn’t h?

Carmichael: Yeah. His entire life is a work of incredible personal accomplishments from a financial standpoint (Leahy laughs) of himself and his family. But his decision making has been a catastrophe. If he were a stockbroker he would be the guy that somebody would stand up and say that because of Joe Biden I’m a millionaire. Now I’d say before I knew him I was a billionaire (Leahy laughs) and he has caused me to lose virtually everything.

Leahy: Back in May, I got this clip out about Joe Biden who’s utterly compromised on China and we’ll get to that in a bit. But here’s what he had to say about China back in May.

(Joe Biden clip plays)

China is going to eat our lunch? Come on man. They can’t even figure out how to deal with the fact that they have this great division between the China Sea and the mountains in the East. I mean in the West. They can’t figure out how they’re going to deal with the corruption that exists within the system. You know, they are not bad folks folks. But guess what? They’re not competition for us.

Leahy: Crom, (Laughing) what do you have to say to that utter idiocy.

Carmichael: Well, he’s a fool. There’s just no other way to describe it. And the other thing is that he’s in China’s pocket. I mean his son flew over there with him and ended up getting one and a half billion dollars from the Bank of China.

Leahy: Bank of China.

Carmichael: One of the Chinese owned banks. The Bank of China gave one half billion dollars. That’s billion with a B. His son got that and the Democrats do not care. And Democrats, by the way, think that the way the Chinese run their government is the way the government ought to be run. They love their power. They love the power that the Chinese Communist Party has.

Leahy: They only wish they could have that kind of authoritarian control in Michigan and some of the other states. (Chuckles)

Carmichael: Yeah. So at any rate, that quote will come up. The congressional soundbite that will come up, the video will be Nancy Pelosi in her kitchen with her refrigerator freezer that’s more expensive than the typical person’s car when the country is in shutdown and she’s advising everybody to eat chocolate. It is the Marie Antoinette moment of our time.

Leahy: Yeah. Got a little curveball for you on this. So Joe Biden said he would nominate a woman to be his vice president. He’s also said he will nominate a black woman for the Supreme Court. Now, what do you think the odds are that he would nominate Clarence Thomas’s accuser Anita Hill for the Supreme Court?

Carmichael: Highly unlikely. Highly unlikely because Anita Hill is too old.

Leahy: OK. (Chuckles)

Carmichael: People want to appoint justices who are going to serve for a much longer period of time. Anita Hill has got to be in her 60s.

Leahy: I think she might be about 60 right now maybe. Yeah.

Carmichael: Only 60.

Leahy: I’ll check on that in a bit. Anita Hill was, of course, Clarence Thomas’s accuser claiming verbal sexual harassment back in the 1990s when she worked for him. He denied it. Joe Biden led the high tech lynching of Clarence Thomas who’s African American.

Carmichael: Yes.

Leahy: And Thomas performed very well in that and was confirmed.

Carmichael: Well that was a con job and Joe Biden knows it. And will not go to heaven unless he confesses that. (Leahy laughs) That’s not a joke. I don’t think it’s funny.

Leahy: Yeah, I know.

Carmichael: It’s not funny. He is a detestable human being for what he did to Clarence Thomas. And sitting next to him was Kennedy who was equally detestable. Because they both knew that that was a complete con job. Complete con job. Not one of Anita Hill’s statements under oath before the Senate was true. Not one.

I stayed home for two days and watched the hearings and I sat there and I recorded them and watched it again and made a list of 23 contradictions on Anita Hills’ side. And not a single contradiction in Clarence Thomas’s because Anita Hill just as Blasey-Ford, Anita Hill did not have a single witness in her case. Anita Hill’s case.

Not a single witness who said that she named Clarence Thomas. They tried to say that she said things contemporaneously with the events they said, well did she say Clarence Thomas did those things by name? And not one of them would say so. There’s a reason for that. Every one of the people that testified on behalf of Anita Hill was a lawyer. And everyone knew that if they said that she named him and then later recanted they could be cited for perjury and go to jail.

Leahy: Anita Hill by the way Crom is 63 years old. She is a University professor of wait for it…social policy law and women studies at Brandice University. That’s her career right now.

Carmichael: Good for her.

Leahy: A couple of days ago on April 25th Joe Biden called Anita Hill up to say that he was sorry for all of the questionings she endured 28 years ago.

Carmichael: Has he called Tara Reade?

Leahy: Now there you go. Pointing out logical fallacies here or logical questions. Tell us about Tara Reade and why he ought to be calling Tara Reade.

Carmichael: I believe Tara Reade was a Senate aid to him…

Leahy: Yes.

Carmichael: And worked for him. She claims and has contemporaneous witnesses who say that she said he did it after time that she told other people that he pushed her up against the wall and ran his hand all over her private parts.

Leahy: Yes. Even more graphic than that.

Carmichael: OK.

Leahy: This happened in 1993.

Carmichael: Right. When he was an old man by the way.

Leahy: And he’s a very old man now.

Carmichael: He was in his 50s.

Leahy: She was 29.

Carmichael: She can tell you exactly where it happened.

Leahy: Yes.

Carmichael: Exactly where.

Leahy: There is some corroborating evidence too. She filed some sort of report that sort of disappeared. There was a report, Crom did you see this? That her mother called the Larry King Show on CNN to complain about this. And there’s a recording of it.

Carmichael: OK. Called the Larry King Show when?

Leahy: 1993. I guess this is new news. But it’s out there. There is a recording of her mother calling Larry King in 1993 complaining about her daughter having been harassed by a very well respected Senator in Washington, D.C.

Carmichael: Wow. Wow.

Leahy: That’s some evidence there. Corroborating I guess you could say.
