Crom Carmichael: Washington Journalists Ask Questions of the President of Which They Know Nothing About

On Monday’s Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – all-star panelist Crom Carmichael joined host, Michael Patrick Leahy on the newsmakers line.

During the second hour, Carmichael commented on how he saw Washington journalists asking questions of the President that they themselves know nothing about. Towards the end of the show, he speculated how we would see Joe Biden as merely a prop and, if elected, would have his presidential decisions made by others with criminal intent.

Leahy: Crom, these are dumb questions I think. Aren’t they?

Carmichael: (Giggles) I’ll tell you what. That was a clip that could have gone on for maybe 10 minutes. Just a whole series. More of the questions. Because I watch a good bit of these press conferences because I unlike Jon Meacham I want to stay updated on what’s going on. (Leahy laughs) I don’t live in a time warp capsule.

Some of the questions these people ask and the knowledge that they have about their own questions. Some guy asked about the price of oil and Trump said, what’s the price of oil now? And he goes, well I don’t know. And he said well do your homework before you ask your own question.

Leahy: Really.

Yes, Every Kid

Carmichael: Then somebody asked about some inspector general and he said there are a lot of inspector generals, which one? What’s that inspector general’s name? And they didn’t even know the name.

Leahy: Yeah.

Carmichael: Then, Chuck Todd, he dug around and found out what that particular inspector general’s name was and tried to trick Trump. I’ll tell you what. If the table were turned and Trump could interview anyone of those reporters he could just destroy them with questions that would show their ignorance.

Just profound ignorance. Because he would be the one that gets to choose the questions. And they would be the ones to say, I don’t know. I’m sorry I don’t know. I’m sorry I don’t know. It would be one I don’t know after another. These people are paid because they will attack Trump.

Leahy: They are paid, propagandists.

Carmichael: Yes. They are not paid because they work hard. They probably sleep 12-14 hours a day. (Leahy laughs) They probably only get out of bed to come to these meetings to ask dumb questions which they are probably fed by their producers.

Leahy: Ya think?

Carmichael: And by the way, I can also predict that that’s reasonably close to accurate because when they are doing stuff on the air they all use the same bad word. Bombshell! This will take him down! In other words, the terms, as we’ve talked about before, there’s a word of the day or a phrase of the day that all of the left leading journalists use. And it’s almost comical.

Leahy: Crom, I thought clearly that word for the day goes to every CNN reporter in the morning from Jeff Zucker. I have a theory where actually the word for the day is coming from now. It’s coming from the chairman of the Chinese Communist Party.

Carmichael: Could be.

Leahy: They sound more like Chinese propagandists than American journalists.

Carmichael: They really do. I don’t know if you watched Sharyl Attkinsson. She’s one of my very favorite shows. I record her show. She pointed out that China has a guy who’s a researcher and he’s known – in China – as the Batman of China. He is the one that goes into bat caves and he has pulled out thousands of these viruses. If you didn’t watch it, I would encourage people to go to YouTube and see if they can find yesterday’s show. It was yesterday’s and the week before.

Leahy: It’s called The Full Measure? Sharyl Attkinsson’s?

Carmichael: Yes. The Full Measure. It was breathtaking what she talked about in what China is researching these viruses. And this virus did come from China. It did come from Wuhan and that is exactly where this lab is that does all of these tests. And this guy’s been doing this for years. Sanctioned by the Chinese government. And if you read The Hundred-Year Marathon by Michael Pillsbury. I recommend this to all of our listeners. It points out that when China decides to come after us,  it won’t be using military force it will be cyber war. It will be taking down our communication system. And it will be bio-chemical.

Leahy: All that seems to make sense. By the way Crom, our good friend at Instapundit Professor of constitutional law at the University of Tennessee, Glenn Reynolds has a new term for the media. I think it’s very appropriate. We talk about the mainstream media. He now has started referring to CBS, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, The New York Times, and The Washington Post as the wait for it…the Manchurian Media. I think that is pretty good.

Carmichael: I think that is so spot on. It is just so spot on. It’s going to be very very interesting to see how they come in this upcoming election. I don’t know if you got any other clips on Joe Biden but man I tell you what, I don’t know if you have any other clips on Joe Biden.

Leahy: He’s not there. He is not there. (Laughs)

Carmichael: Oh my goodness gracious.

Leahy: When we come back Crom after the news, we’ll see if we can get some more on Joe Biden. He just doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. He’s a prop. If he’s elected president he will not be running the country because he doesn’t seem to have that capability.

Carmichael: Unfortunately the president of the United States has duties that are distinct to that office.  And if other people are making decisions that the president is supposed to make, those decisions oftentimes are criminal.
