Michael, the Martha’s Vineyard episode points out something that’s much bigger than just the question of immigration, which is an enormous question all by itself. But just in covering the question of immigration, let’s look at this just for a moment on Martha’s Vineyard.
According to The Western Journal, there are 9,763 residents who voted for Biden and there are 2,610 who voted for Trump. Martha’s Vineyard is probably, if there is a place in the country that is more white, more liberal, and more super-rich than Martha’s Vineyard, I’m not sure what it is.
But these people showed themselves for exactly what the white, elite rich Democrats are, and that is a bunch of bigots and a bunch of racists. In Illinois, you have the governor who has now issued a state of emergency over a few thousand illegal immigrants coming to Chicago.
This is another rich white Democrat who is claiming that a few thousand immigrants coming to a sanctuary city – by the way, a sanctuary city that will not help the federal government deal with illegal immigration – he has called a state of emergency.
The governor of Massachusetts sent the National Guard to Martha’s Vineyard to remove 50 illegal immigrants. Biden claims that what DeSantis and Abbott are doing is un-American for using immigrants as props. But this was right after Harris said that there is no illegal immigrant problem and that the border is secure.
Now, that’s all of the hypocrisy over that one issue. But, Michael, here’s the much bigger problem in terms of just the whole paradigm of the separation between the Democrat Party and everybody else. Buzz Heidtke, a broker here in town and a good one, sends out a little weekly report.
And in the weekly report, he points out that household wealth is down since Biden took office, by $50 trillion – $50 trillion of household wealth is down. Now, that’s primarily because of the deep plunge in the stock market.
But many Democrats are members of government employee unions or private sector unions, and their retirement is what is called a defined benefit, which means that when they retire, they’re going to get a certain amount of money regardless of how the economy is doing, or regardless of how the stock market is doing.
So for Biden, he doesn’t care if the stock market goes down, because if a union’s pension fund is underwater, what do the Democrats do? Well, they simply tell the federal government to give more money to those pensions and top them off. But who loses when that happens? Everybody else.
This is another example, just as Martha’s Vineyard is another example, that we do live in two Americas. We live in one that’s controlled by basically white millionaire and billionaire Democrats, and everybody else.
And this midterm election – my sense of it is what the Democrats are doing and how they’re reacting to this immigration, which is a terrible problem, and first of all, on one hand, they’re saying it doesn’t exist, and then, on the other hand, when it just has a pinprick effect on them, they go absolutely berserk and call in the National Guard to then take the illegal immigrants to red-state areas, or red areas within their own states. Despicable is the kindest word, but it’s the world we live in right now.
