Donald Trump Jr. is scheduled to arrive in Tennessee January 28 to raise money for Tennessee Republican U.S. Senate candidate Bill Hagerty.
This, according to The Associate Press, which said former FOX News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle will accompany the son of U.S. Republican President Donald Trump during the trip.
Organizers will have the fundraiser in Gallatin, according to The AP.
“The luncheon costs $1,000 a person. Attending the luncheon plus a photo reception runs $2,800 per person. The appearance helps Hagerty keep highlighting the president’s endorsement of him in the race to replace retiring Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander,” The AP reported.
“The event also marks the first big headliner for Hagerty, a Nashville businessman who previously served as Trump’s ambassador to Japan and has rejoined the board of a private investment firm. Other notable names within Trump’s circle are likely to visit Tennessee for him in the months leading up to the August primary election. Hagerty’s main GOP primary opponent is Nashville trauma surgeon Manny Sethi, who also has stressed his support for the president. Sethi has billed himself as a ‘conservative outsider.’ Nashville attorney and former Army helicopter pilot James Mackler is one of the top Democrats to enter the Senate race.”
As The Tennessee Star reported in September, Hagerty said he decided to run after he “saw the threat to Tennessee and our country from the Democrats’ socialist agenda.”
“We must stand up to radical liberals like The Squad and their liberal socialist agenda that would deeply damage the America we know and love,” Hagerty said in video announcing his run.
“With President Trump’s support, I’m ready to fight for your family in the U.S. Senate.”
In the ad, Hagerty said The Squad’s goal is “to deliver more government, more crippling debt and less freedom for my children and yours’.”
The Squad is composed of Democrats Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan.
In his ad, Hagerty also said, if elected, he will reduce taxes and regulatory red tape. He also said he is pro-life and will work to confirm constitutionalist U.S. Supreme Court justices “who will not legislate from the bench.”
Hagerty also said he understands the dangers of open borders.
As The Tennessee Star reported last week, Hagerty warned on Twitter that members of the Democratic Party have brought their immigration agenda to the Volunteer State.

Oh and how is Haggerty a known conservative? I don’t recall him ever holding elected office. I do recall that he is a Haslam butt buddy and worked in the Haslam administration running one of the more corrupt (in my thinking) areas of economic development. That is pouring money into private corporations and deciding the winners and losers with taxpayer money. Trump is going by what the national GOP is telling him to back. Just because Haggerty was an ambassador means jack nothing. I’ll keep my powder dry on whom to vote for but I know for damn sure I won’t be voting for an East TN Haslam backed faux conservative.
After Bill Lee’s sudden departure from Conservative principles on the Refugee issue voting for “no record” Republicans are a “no no” folks. I cannot support Sethi. Vote Bill Hagerty! The “Not perfect, but predictable” candidate.
