Leftists heckled State Rep. Robin Smith (R-Hixson), this past weekend as she spoke at a Women’s Rally at Miller Park in Chattanooga.
This, according to Chattanoogan.com and various social media postings.
Chattanogan.com reported Smith took the podium and spoke about a woman from that city named Abby Crawford Milton, who helped secure women’s right to vote in 1920.
“Rep. Smith, a conservative representative in the Tennessee legislature, was announced earlier as one of the featured speakers at the event. When she came up to speak, a group of protesters shouted vociferously, drowning out whatever she had to say,” according to Chattanoogan.com
At least one person in the crowd reportedly said she saw irony in the protesters’ behavior.
“Sprinkled throughout the protesters and political activists were an assortment of neutral observers,” the website reported.
“One young woman opined, ‘I was surprised at how seriously people were protesting, especially after they were just listening to a poem about listening to people with diverse opinions. I just hope to see positivity and talking about things that matter.’”
Chattanooga-based News Channel 9 reporter Isiah-Kim Martinez posted video of the protestors heckling Smith on his Twitter account.
The video showed protesters yelling that Smith “is a woman against women who doesn’t belong in a women’s march.”
They also said they would not remain silent for Smith, nor would they listen to any woman who supports U.S. Republican President Donald Trump.
Twitter user Sarah Grace Taylor, meanwhile, said she attended the rally, which had between 80 to 100 people.
“It’s in the forties and raining, so that’s gotta play a role in turnout,” Taylor wrote.
“There’s already been a heckling outburst against Rep. Robin Smith and someone just drove by and shouted ‘Make America Great Again’ out of a window.”
Chattanoogan.com, meanwhile, quoted upset attendees who described Smith as “a constant racist, homophobe, and xenophobe.”
They also said Smith “does not belong at a women’s march event.”

What? Governor Lee a liberal? Then, why is he so eager to execute people on Death Row?–Or is that mainly his right-wing Attorney General Slatery who is gung-ho for that?
On what particular voting issues did Smith upset the leftists over? Your article did not say. If she has voted in a manner that promotes bigotry, militarism, misandry/misogyny, homophobia, then I will be upset with her also.
From what little the article does say, she seems to be a rightist who pretends to support women’s rights by giving lip service to Abbey Milton’s contributions to getting Tennessee to become the deciding state for Women’s Suffrage in 1920.
While I am no fan of how the Pelosi/Schumer Democrats are running the impeachment process, I am no fan of Trump either. Personally, I think our two-party system has been broken for almost forty years where one has nominal Democrats trying to be carbon-copy Republicans and then wonder why they lose to the real Republican.

Today’s Liberals/Democrats are Fascists.Sadly, Fascists will not go away with free speech and turn the other cheek Christian attitudes. Prayer is definitely needed. And a firmness of character and a resolve to act decisively will also be needed before this is through.
