Five More Victims of Alleged Rapist Soccer Coach Come Forward

Camilo Hurtado Campos

According to a Wednesday report, the Franklin Police Department (FPD) identified five more victims of Camilo Hurtado Campos, the alleged child rapist whose phone, containing graphic images and videos, was found at a local restaurant in late June.

“Those are five that we did not know about,” Franklin Police Public Information Officer Lt. Charles Warner reportedly said.

He added that there were “new and fresh” allegations against Campos (pictured above) and that the new victims “are reporting similar elements to our current investigation.”

“We are hopeful more people are going to continue to come forward knowing that there is a little safety in numbers,” Warner said. “I don’t want people to lose sight of the fact that although there’s a villain in this story, there also is a hero: that is the restaurant worker.”

Warner also reportedly said that while in custody, Campos acknowledged that he knew the graphic content was on his phone.

He is being held on rape and child exploitation charges, and authorities expect that many more charges will be filed.

Campos was arrested on June 23.

When The Tennessee Star spoke with Warner Monday, just after the story broke, he urged parents to contact authorities if their child played for Campos at any time.

Authorities still have not released the names of the team or teams that Campos may have coached.

“I don’t know and quite honestly, we’re trying not to be disarming to parents if they don’t hear a club named that their kids were affiliated with,”  Warner told The Star Monday when asked whether authorities had identified which team or teams Campos coached. “We’re urging parents whose kids had contact with Campos, regardless of any program or location to contact us.”

According to FPD, Campos preyed on children on a local playground.

“The 63-year-old soccer coach has lived in Franklin for the last 20 years, with that time split between two neighborhoods: Hill Estates and, most recently, on Glass Lane in the downtown Franklin area. During off-hours, Campos frequented nearby school playgrounds in both neighborhoods where he approached kids and recruited them as players on his team. After gaining their trust, Campos invited many of the kids to his home where he drugged and then raped them.”

“During an immediate and tireless investigation, Detectives found hundreds of disturbing videos and pictures on that phone,” FPD said. “In many of them, Campos recorded himself raping unconscious boys between approximately 9 and 17 years old.”

“Detectives say that the children in these videos were in such an unconscious state, that they might not even realize that they are victims.”

William: I know, and have known too many women who have been sexually abused, and find it the most reprehensible crime committed by a criminal of any gender. I would also like to point out that black and hispanic males make up a disproportionate number of violent felons in our criminal justice system. As simplistic and obvious as this statement is; he wouldn’t have been able to commit these crimes if he wasn’t in our country illegally.

America has a legal path citizenship, which, in part, is meant to keep the less desirable out of our country. All anyone with an inkling of common sense has to do is look at what has happened in the EU as they have welcomed “refugees” from Northern Africa and the Middle East. The flood of third worlders into our country is setting the stage for violent mass rioting in the near future.

Anybody who rapes minors, whether undocumented alien or native U.S. citizen like Dennis Hastart, or whether a male or female perpetrator/victim, has committed an equally atrocious crime and should be forced to face the legal consequences for his or her act against minors. The fact that this defendant just happens to be an undocumented alien instead of a native U.S. Anglo-American citizen does not change the nature of the offense.

I get the uneasy feeling that the only reason that the other letter-writers are outrage over this crime is due LESS to the rapes themselves than due to the fact that this particular defendant just happens to be an alien instead of an Anglo-American citizen. Such motives do not serve victims’ rights or true law and order.

Who needs a sanctuary city when biden has turned our home into a sanctuary nation?

Public execution with the parents leading the way right under Chip in town square.

Just doing “jobs” that Americans will not do.

I am deathly tired of the illegal advocates who claim that those coming illegally are salt of the earth folks just looking for a better life. Tell that to the victims and their families. Now the question might be raised as to how many of his victims and their family members are here illegally. This could get real interesting in a hurry.

I am for the death penalty for cases like this.

He is also an illegal immigrant. Thank Joe Biden for this pitiful situation.

What, is Franklin a “sanctuary city”? I read this morning that he is in our country illegally. Yea, come on in, the door’s wide open.
