Gov. Lee Announces ‘Strong Mask Movement’ to Make Wearing Face Masks ‘Fun’

Gov. Bill Lee announced a new “TN Strong Mask Movement” Thursday with the goal of making face masks more “fun.”

According to a press release from the governor’s office, the Economic Recovery Group developed the new program along with more than 30 “flagship brands” across the state, including Amazon, Bridgestone, Bristol Motor Speedway, Graceland, Jack Daniel’s, several professional sports teams and universities, and many others.

Each business will distribute branded cloth face coverings at little to no cost “across their own channels or with the help of the State of Tennessee,” said Lee’s office. The 30 organizations plan to produce a combined total of 300,000 masks, a projected value of more than $3 million.

Mark Ezell, director of the Economic Recovery Group, said the “more we encourage masks and make them fun, the better we can mitigate the spread of COVID-19.”

“Tennesseans have stepped up to do their part and keep their neighbors safe throughout this health crisis,” he said. “These businesses are the heart and soul of Tennessee, and we’re grateful to them for helping our citizens stay healthy and have a little fun sporting their favorite brands while they’re at it.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently released new guidance for public events and gatherings, strongly encouraging wearing masks to lower the risk of exposure and reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Lee’s office didn’t provide any specifics on where residents can pick up free masks, though they can be purchased online in packs of five for $20, or bulk packs of 500 for $1,250.

“We are so appreciative of Gov. Lee and Commissioner Ezell to include the Nashville Predators in promoting the use of masks so SMASHVILLE can continue to open in the safest possible manner,” Nashville Predators President and CEO Sean Henry said in a statement.

“By creating SMASHVILLE Strong and Predator-themed masks, we can all show our passion for the Preds while reinforcing the use of face coverings as we work to re-launch the economy and local businesses,” he added.

The Tennessee Titans and the Memphis Grizzlies are also participating in the new “mask movement.”

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine launched a similar initiative in April when he asked Ohioans to participate in a statewide “spirit week.”

Another irrational statement from the RINO governor.

Masks make sense for working around a sterile field or if you are in patient care and must be around someone that is immune compromised while administering care or treatment. Otherwise, as Mike Johnson shared and also from information the Surgeon General put out, masks are detrimental especially when Dorn fir long periods. This “Strong” promotion is being used as mind control branding some people as “nonessential” and forcing conformity instead of thinking critically and getting knowledge for oneself to be applied is the opposite of strength. Also, the supposed “health experts”, media and officialdom almost NEVER promote enhancing our own health and immunity. They should be “medical experts” and not health since they do not inform us re: health.

The flu and the common cold can kill the sick, elderly, and those with chronic health conditions just as easily as COVID. And Governor Lee could push back more on this like other governors have done. He is definitely of the faux conservative brand which we don’t need given the lefts attempt to exploit this for political gain. Meanwhile, many of our fellow Americans are struggling to survive the aftermath of this while those responsible are insulated from it.

Amen to that. And with cold and flu season rapidly approaching, once again, as it does every year, what are we to do? I am sorry granny is in the nursing home, and in a diaper, and doesn’t remember who anyone is; but how is the next generation of young people to buy a home if they are staying home from work? Unreal.

Do not be convinced of the need for face masks…they produce the opposite of what you are being told.

I am thinking about four.5 billion years of evolution and how humans got this far without masks. What are all these nose hairs in my nose for? And will we eventually devolve to where we no longer grow nose hairs? Clearly our brains are getting smaller. Of course, they put fluoride in the water, which makes us passive. This gives new meaning to “Sheeple.”

Our governor is a stone cold idiot. I can’t breathe!
