Hometowns of 2020 Democrat Candidates Have Resettled Only 0.22 Percent of All Refugees

According to a new study, the hometowns of the four leading candidates for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in 2020 have collectively taken in less than half-a-percent of all refugees resettled over the last decade, as Breitbart reports.

Although former Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.), Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D-Ind.) have all called for an increase in refugee resettlements in the United States, their four hometowns have all collectively taken in just 0.22 percent of all refugees who entered the country from 2009 to 2019.

Biden’s hometown of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware has taken zero refugees during that time period, with the entire state of Delaware taking only 82 refugees. Biden’s primary residence of Wilmington has taken the majority of that, with around 50 refugees resettled there.

Warren’s hometown of Cambridge, Massachusetts has also resettled only about 50 refugees. In Indiana, South Bend accounts for only about 106 refugees resettled between 2009 and 2019, while other towns in Indiana have had to take nearly 20,000 refugees.

And while the state of Vermont has taken in over 3,000 refugees during that time period, Sanders’ hometown of Burlington – where he was once mayor – has taken only about half of that amount. Conversely, Sanders’ vacation home of North Hero has also taken zero refugees.

Overall, this 0.22 percent share of refugees among the candidates’ various hometowns and vacation homes adds up to less than 1,500 refugees overall, out of the roughly 655,000 who have been resettled in the United States over the last ten years.

How about we give the “refugees” the home address of the candidates then they (the candidates) can feed & house them at THEIR expense.
