The political left is raging at a U.S. senator from Arizona who refuses to join her fellow Democrats in abolishing the filibuster.
“I committed to the 60-vote threshold – it’s been an incredibly unpopular view. I actually think we should restore the 60-vote threshold for the areas in which it has been eliminated already,” Senator Kyrsten Sinema said in a speech at the University of Louisville during a conference called The Future of Political Discourse and the Importance of Bipartisanship.
“It would make it harder for us to confirm judges,” she said. “It would make it harder for us to confirm executive appointments in each administration. But I believe by restoring, we’d actually see more of that middle ground in all parts of our governance which is what I believe our forefathers intended.”
Those comments have left-wingers across the web, and even elected officials, upset with the moderate Democrat.
“I mean you could be out there helping our candidates [Senator Sinema] But my sense is that you would actually prefer the Dems lose control of the Senate and House,” said Representative Ruben Gallego (D-AZ-03).

“While Kyrsten Sinema is here in Kentucky expressing her love for McConnell and her commitment to protect Jim Crow, I am running for Senate to make sure Mitch and his friends can’t filibuster our progress anymore,” said Kentucky U.S. Senate candidate Charles Booker, who is challenging Senator Rand Paul (R-KY).

Former actor-turned-Twitter political commentator Dash Dobrofsky had choice words for the senator from Arizona, who he sees as a traitor to the leftist cause.
“Mitch McConnell called Kyrsten Sinema the ‘most effective first-term senator’ he has ever seen. McConnell also praised her defense of the filibuster,” he said. “Kyrsten Sinema blocked Roe V Wade from being codified. She also blocked a vote on banning assault weapons just weeks after Uvalde.”

The American far-left has been pining to eliminate the filibuster to make it easier to pass its legislation, which under the current Congress is too radical to become law.
