Marsha Blackburn Says She Will Vote for a Constitutionalist to Replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg

U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) said this week that she and her colleagues will soon seek someone to replace the late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg — as they are supposed to, regardless.

Blackburn also said that she wants a person with constitutionalist views.

Blackburn said this while she appeared on FOX News.

“The Senate is going to do its job. Those of us at the Judiciary Committee will do our due diligence. We will prepare properly for the hearing,” Blackburn told host Steve Hilton.

“I look forward to voting for a constitutionalist to go onto the Supreme Court.”

Yes, Every Kid

But, as Blackburn warned, Democrats will insist on delaying the matter.

“The [Democratic Party is] fighting this [and] wants to delay. They’re having a good old fashioned come apart, if you will. Steve, they are the ones that want to pack the Supreme Court,” Blackburn said.

“They want to fundamentally change it.”

Blackburn described U.S. President Donald Trump’s potential nominee Amy Coney Barrett as “a tremendous story” and Barbara Lagoa as potentially “the first Cuban American to serve on the Supreme Court.”

As reported this week, Blackburn praised Ginsburg as someone who didn’t have an easy path.

“Women have a much more circuitous route in their careers than men, and certainly we see that in Justice Ginsburg’s career,” Blackburn said.

“Women who have had to fight to make their way really appreciate the opportunity…to do a job that they truly love, and she loved this.”

Blackburn also said that Ginsburg relied on an inner strength. She said she appreciated how Ginsburg fought back against cancer. She also said she appreciated how Ginsburg refused to cave to pressure from the political left and allow someone else to take her seat on the U.S. Supreme Court.

Blackburn serves on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has already said that Trump’s nominee to replace Ginsburg will get a vote on the U.S. Senate floor.

Blackburn told Bream that a confirmation process for a replacement U.S. Supreme Court justice can take upwards of 60 days.

What Marsha Blackburn refers to as a Constitutionalist is anything but. What she REALLY wants is a totalitarian right-wing ideologue so that if any conservative bill should conflict with the Constitution, her appointee will overrule the Constitution in favor of the conservative bill at hand.

When it comes to protecting civil liberties and civil rights, the liberal and leftist judges are far closer to the intent of the Constitution than any of these right-wingers are. That is why liberal and progressive judges expand civil liberties to make sure that ALL people, not just the rich and white, get the full protections of our Constitution!

William, the sad part is, your made up facts fly in direct conflict with actual history.

    2. Steve Allen

William, you mean like innocent lives being aborted without consciousnesses, no ownership of firearms so law abiding citizens cannot defend themselves from criminal attach or government oppression, and requiring that people be hired and promoted because of their skin color or their sexual ideology instead of their merit.

Socialism is a sinking ship in America. I truly hope that after President Trump is reelected and the Republicans take control of the House, that the leftist go on full blown insurrection. Then it will be payback time. Conservative Americans have spent the last six months holding their tempers as American cities have burned with to the encouragement of the left. You all are so full of your own self righteousness that you are blind to reality. Y’all are like a room full of spoiled brats whining because you can’t get your way. America will correct the injustices that have taken place in America in November!

Empty Suit Blackburn says……blah blah blah. Marsha, all you do is talk an parrot talking points and ideologies you don’t believe in now that you’re a part of the swamp.

Enjoy your first term as a Senator Marsha because it’s going to be your last.

Will this be someone who will uphold all our Unconstitutional wars? When is the last time we declared war on a nation? We got a war on poverty, failed. A war on drugs, failed. A war on terror, failed. And now a war on a Virus, failed. Which war will we wage next? A war on bad hair? How is the Federal Reserve System Constitutional?

WWII was the last time the U.S. Constitutionally declared war on a nation. Subsequent wars have all been UNLAWFUL starting with the Korean War.
