Musk Plans Major America PAC Push for 2026 GOP Turnout

Elon Musk gives and update about DOGE in the Oval Office with President Trump

Tech billionaire Elon Musk “reactivated” his super PAC, America PAC, for a substantial investment aimed at boosting Republican voter turnout in the November 2026 midterm elections, according to a Wednesday report by Axios.

The group, which spent more than $260 million helping elect President Donald Trump in 2024, will focus on door-knocking, digital advertising, and direct mail targeting the conservative base — including lower-propensity voters less likely to participate in non-presidential elections — sources familiar with the plans reportedly told the news outlet. Musk’s representatives declined to disclose a specific spending figure, though it is expected to be significant.

However, Federal Election Commission records show that there was no interruption America PAC’s operations or change in official status since its first reported donation in June 2024. The organization is an active Super PAC with Chris Young listed as treasurer.

For the period covering January 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, the committee reported total receipts of approximately $50.3 million — nearly all individual contributions — and total disbursements of about $52.3 million. Ending cash-on-hand stood at roughly $274,000. Independent expenditures during that window were limited to about $87,000, with the bulk of spending categorized as operating expenditures and other disbursements.

Since March of this year, processed FEC receipt data for the 2025-2026 cycle show multiple contributions attributed to Musk along with matching entries from United States of America Inc., an entity he controls, totaling just over $1.6 million. Similar paired contributions appear from December 2025.

The effort continues to be led by Young, Musk’s top political adviser. America PAC, which said it knocked on more than 10 million doors across more than half a dozen swing states in 2024, plans to coordinate with other Republican organizations, freeing those groups to emphasize television advertising.

James Blair, a senior political adviser to President Trump, told Axios, “America PAC was an essential partner for our historic GOTV operation in 2024, and their return for 2026 is a huge boost for Republicans across the country. We will again outsmart our opponents and ruthlessly execute our mission for the GOP between now and Election Day.”

America PAC spokesperson Andrew Romeo said the group is “excited to again be part of the team” supporting efforts to retain Republican control of Congress.

Republicans currently hold a cash advantage of more than $300 million over Democratic counterparts, excluding roughly $400 million held by Trump’s MAGA Inc. super PAC.

America PAC describes its core values as supporting candidates who champion secure borders, sensible spending, safe cities, a fair justice system, free speech, and self-protection. Musk previously said the PAC aims to promote principles that made America great, including meritocracy and individual freedom.

The organization maintains an active X account under the handle @america, which has more than 1.2 million followers as of press time. The account consistently shares videos and commentary on topics including immigration enforcement, government fraud investigations, election integrity, and clips of President Trump.
