Highland Ventures Ltd. officials announced Monday that the company will invest $8.2 million to relocate its headquarters from Glenview, Illinois, to Brentwood, Tennessee. The company “is planning to take advantage of the unprecedented growth” within Brentwood to support its expansion strategies.
Highland Ventures Ltd. was founded in 1984 and is a holding company to top brands in the restaurant, fitness, video rental, and commercial real estate industries. According to a press release by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD), the company’s new Tennessee headquarters will be located at 209 Powell Pl. and will serve as the business hub for the company’s well-known brands: Family Veterinary Group, Marco’s Pizza, Stay Fit 24, Highland Pure Water & Ice, and Legacy Commercial Property.

“The greater Nashville region is turning into a food service, healthcare and real estate hub that fits our growth strategy across all business lines,” Keith Hoogland, president and CEO of Highland Ventures Ltd., said in a statement. “We are thrilled to be opening a new Highland Ventures corporate office just south of Nashville in Brentwood, Tennessee.”
Today, the company employs roughly 2,500 people across the country. Through its new investment in Brentwood, Highland Ventures will create 80 new jobs in Williamson County over the next five years, according to TNECD.
The fully renovated 25,000 square foot facility is expected to be open in September of this year.
“Our strong business climate and highly skilled workforce attract key businesses like Highland Ventures to Tennessee,” Governor Bill Lee said in a statement. “I thank this company for its commitment to job creation in Williamson County and look forward to seeing its headquarters thrive in our state.”
TNECD Commissioner Stuart McWhorter also released a statement on the company’s investment in Brentwood, saying, “With a central location and top-tier workforce, the Northern Middle Tennessee region is becoming a hotspot for companies to do business. We appreciate Highland Ventures’ investment in Williamson County and believe Brentwood will be the ideal location for their new headquarters.”
