Pro-Palestine, Anti-Israel Group to Hold ‘Tennessee Statewide Protest’ in Nashville This Weekend

Another pro-Palestine rally is scheduled to be held this weekend in downtown Nashville, the organization Nashville Youth for Palestine announced on social media.

The group’s “Tennessee Statewide Protest” is planned to be held on Sunday at Cumberland Park from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Sunday’s rally, according to the group, is meant for Tennesseans to “come together and advocate for Palestinian life, as well as demand a permanent ceasefire” between Israeli and Hamas forces.

The group said this weekend’s rally is in response to Palestinian photojournalist Motaz Hilal Azaiza’s recent call for “mass demonstrations across the US to show solidarity with Gaza and encourage governments to recognize the wishes of their constituents.”

“In response to Motaz’s call to action and in solidarity with Gaza, we are inviting Tennesseans to peacefully demonstrate on Sunday, December 17, at 2:00 PM at Cumberland Park in Nashville, Tennessee. We urge Tennesseans to come together and advocate for Palestinian life, as well as demand a permanent ceasefire,” Nashville Youth for Palestine wrote on Instagram.

The group urged those planning on attending Sunday’s protest to be prepared to march across the pedestrian bridge, bring banners, signs, flags, posters, and wear keffiyehs.

Nashville Youth for Palestine also announced it is partnering with The Horn Coffee in Nashville on Saturday to raise money for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund – the same organization Tennessee Titans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair chose to support through the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats campaign, as previously reported by The Tennessee Star.

In addition to Sunday’s rally, another demonstration is planned for the following weekend by a different pro-Palestine group, Palestine Hurra Collective Nashville.

The group announced it will hold an “All Out For Palestine” rally on December 23 in Nashville, writing on social media, “It’s time again for us to come together, disrupt the “business as usual” status quo & take action for Palestine. How can so many keep “celebrating the holidays” ignoring the atrocities & genocide in Palestine?”

The Left became apoplectic over the 1968 My Lai killing of Vietnamese civilians. Hamas killed TWICE as many and the Left treats them like heroes. Imagine that
