Representative Diane Black on Tax Reform: ‘Let’s Get Our Job Done’

Representative Diane Black (R-TN-06) joined Neil Cavuto on Fox News to talk about the final steps in completing tax reform for the American people.

“We have got to get this done. The American people are just not going to accept the fact that we do not get our job done. We’ve talked about this for years. I’ve been here for 7 years and we’ve been working on this for 7 years. We need to get this over the line and it’s going to be great Christmas present for all the American people, especially those in the middle income and they’ll see that at the first of next year – I think in February is what the IRS says is they can put these in place. And they’re actually going to see that money in their pocket.”

Congressman Black, “The People” have been asking for, no DEMANDING, the repeal of Obamacare for 8 years – when is that going to get done?

This so-called tax reform is so gerry rigged that people such as myself will see little to no benefit. I will get excited when I see real tax reform. A tax bill that eliminates most if not all of the welfare embedded in the income tax laws. Why is their a “child tax credit”? Why is there an “earned income tax credit”. Why is there means testing (progressive tax rates) built into the system that punishes success? Why are married couple penalized with regards to deductions? In fact, why are there any deductions at all? It is all about social engineering pushed down onto us taxpayers from people like you, Congressman Black, who want to play God with other people’s money.
