Live from Music Row Thursday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – Leahy was joined in studio by all-star panelist Carol Swain to listen to the selected calls from the Bless Their Heart line.
Leahy: And Carol, you’re going to help me here with the Bless Their Heart line. We’re going to do it every Thursday at this time. And we ask the Bless Their Heart line is the official recorded voicemail messaging system of The Tennessee Star Report. You can call 615-744-4730, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and leave a message. And we may or may not play it on the air.
The idea Carol was this. If someone in the public eye has done something, oh I don’t know, goofy or stupid, or worthy ridicule shall we say, you can call and make fun of them…BUT, make sure to Bless Their Heart at the end because after all. We are more polite here in the south.
Swain: Now do they have to be national leaders? Or can they be local leaders?
Leahy: Oh, you can make fun of anybody.
Swain: OK.
Leahy: We have examples of both. This week we’re going to be playing the Bless Their Heart line on Thursday. We had so many call-ins that we’re going to have to do another one tomorrow here. So, Jimmy, we are ready.

Leahy: Is there somebody that could be better than Greta Thunberg that you could think of for Time’s “Person of the Year.”
Swain: That’s only if Time Magazine was serious about the kinds of people they’re going to nominate. I think President Trump needs to be a person of the year given the prosecution he’s gone through.
Leahy: I’m for that. And Greta Thunberg, not so much.
(Bless Their Heart line plays)
Leahy: I like that one.
Swain: I do too. I guess Lisa Page is traumatized because the other night the president had a lot of fun in Philadelphia poking fun at the lovers.
Leahy: Yep.The FBI lovebirds. He said maybe there was some restraining order involved. (Swain chuckles) By the way, she’s suing the government now for releasing those text messages she had on her work phone. She had to go into therapy. She wants her therapy paid for.
Swain: You know something? I think most of the Left needs to be in therapy. (Leahy laughs)
(Bless Their Heart line plays)
Leahy: The Christmas spirit abounds with our callers. (Chuckles) Have you got all your shopping done Carol?
Swain: I haven’t started. Well, wait a minute. That’s not true. I have a few things.
Leahy: And our last call for today.
(Bless Their Heart line plays)
Leahy: (Laughs) Whoah. I love that one.
Swain: I have a heart I’d like to bless.
Leahy: What’s that?
Swain: James Comey.
Leahy: Ahhh, yes.
Swain: Yes, who tweeted out that he was exonerated by the inspector general’s report. And it’s like, what universe is he living in?
Leahy: And even Horowitz said no one in this mess is exonerated. And that includes James Comey.
Swain: I mean Comey went on national TV and with CNN and I’m not sure which network and talked about how he had been vindicated in the FBI. And again, given the opposite of what actually was revealed in the report.
Leahy: The Bless Their Heart line is the official recorded voicemail messaging system of the Tennessee Star Report. We were talking a little bit about your agenda. You had a busy week before. We talked to Cornell West and the other guy’s name Robert P. George.

Tune in weekdays from 5:00 – 8:00 am to the Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy on Talk Radio 98.3 FM WLAC 1510. Listen online at iHeart Radio.
What a GREAT idea! Why wait two, four or six years to tell them what we think through our votes. Of course you better have a lot of recording space, the list of politicians who need a “bless their heart” is very long!
