After backlash from far-left groups, Williamson County Schools has explained that it will not host a Turning Point USA [TPUSA] event at Nolensville High School later this month.
“There is false information circulating about a Turning Point USA event that has been advertised to be held at Nolensville High on September 21. That event was never approved to be held at NHS and [TPUSA] has been asked to remove all references to Nolensville High,” Williamson County Schools said in a statement on Twitter.

KQ education also confirmed that the event will not take place.
“Williamson County Schools on May 6 told Turning Point officials in writing that the tour stop was ‘not approved’, according to the school district’s spokesperson, Carol Birdsong,” that organization said. “The decision was made at the administrative level, Birdsong said, with school leadership following the school board policy that states only ‘non-partisan’ political events are allowed.”
The right-wing group Moms for Liberty had promoted the alleged event on its Instagram page.
Quickly, the far-left seized the opportunity to cry foul.
“Moms for Liberty Williamson County promoting a Turning Point USA event at Nolensville High … apparently highly partisan rallies are welcome at our public high schools now?” said the far-left blog The Tennessee Holler.

TPUSA’s Made in America Tour is specifically geared towards high school students.
“The Made in America Tour will travel to high school campuses from coast-to-coast with TPUSA host Benny Johnson, activating conservative students to defend their values in the face of left-wing pressure found in the classroom, on the field, and everywhere that students face the Culture War,” says the organization’s website.
“The Made in America Tour will provide the first line of defense for thousands of conservative students who face false and destructive left-wing propaganda from teachers and coaches about America, their fellow citizens, and even themselves,” according to TPUSA’s National Field Program High School Director, Madisen Selee.

Supposedly the most conservative county in a deep Red state and still caves to the Marxists. Does anyone in a position of organizational leadership have any backbone at all?
Most conservative county? Who came up with that one?
The lefties cannot stand to have the light shone on their shady practices. Don’t you just love the Williamson County School District? I wonder how their defense of the Wit & Wisdom curriculum lawsuit is coming along.
What is wrong with Williamson County Schools?
The Woke Insanity has now been allowed to run the Schools ????
