Former President Donald Trump Holds Fundraiser Event in Nashville

Former President Donald Trump was in Nashville on Thursday for a private campaign fundraiser event with Tennessee U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Bill Hagerty (R-TN), according to reports.

A video shared by Fox 17 Nashville on Twitter showed Trump’s motorcade passing through downtown Nashville ahead of the fundraiser.

Footage from inside the event also shows music artist Kid Rock in attendance at the event. Trump called the singer a “good golfer” as he spoke about the pair’s friendship that evolved over the sport.

Both Blackburn and Hagerty have endorsed Trump in the 2024 presidential race and are members of his 2024 Tennessee Federal Leadership Team.

Yes, Every Kid

Trump’s visit to Nashville came three days after he and 18 of his allies were indicted in Fulton County, Georgia over their alleged roles in attempting to “overturn” the results of the 2020 election in the Peach State.

In response to the indictments, the former President initially planned to present a report containing new evidence of “presidential election fraud” that allegedly took place in the Peach State next week. However, on Thursday, Trump announced that the report will instead be used as a formal legal filing in his efforts to dismiss the indictment.

On Thursday, Trump announced in a Trust Social post, “Rather than releasing the Report on the Rigged & Stolen Georgia 2020 Presidential Election on Monday, my lawyers would prefer putting this, I believe, Irrefutable & Overwhelming evidence of Election Fraud & Irregularities in formal Legal Filings as we fight to dismiss this disgraceful Indictment by a publicity & campaign finance seeking D.A., who sadly presides over a record breaking Murder & Violent Crime area, Atlanta. Therefore, the News Conference is no longer necessary!”

Despite his legal woes, polls show that Trump continues to remain the most popular candidate in the GOP primary. Last month, a poll by the Nashville-based Beacon Center of Tennessee showed that Trump had a 21-point lead (55 percent-34 percent) over Joe Biden in the Volunteer State.
