President Biden’s Approval Rating Dips Again to 31 Percent, 80 Percent Say Country is Doing ‘Badly,’ New Poll Finds

President Joe Biden’s approval rating with independent voters, a critical bloc ahead of the 2024 election, is at 31 percent, while 80 percent of them say things in America are going “somewhat” or “very” badly, according to a new poll.

Biden’s overall approval rating of 40 percent is largely supported by Democrats, 79 percent of whom approve of the president, according to a CBS News/YouGov survey released Sunday.

However, 60 percent of U.S. adults said they disapprove of the way Biden is handling his job as president, including 69 percent of independent voters, the poll showed.

Additionally, just 20 percent of independent voters say things in America are going “somewhat” or “very” well, compared to 80 percent who said the state of the country is doing badly.

Overall, 72 percent of Americans said the country is doing badly, including 52 percent of Democrats.

The poll was conducted Sept. 5-8, with 2,335 U.S. adults and has a 2.7 percent margin of error.

Biden’s approval rating is slightly higher than it was in a CNN survey released last week, where it sat at 39 percent.

Political independents, which make up 38 percent of the U.S. public per Pew Research, play a critical role in elections, as they tend to vote for candidates on issues rather than party affiliation.

LHC, in our county the democrats run as independents. In our county elections there wasn’t a single democrat running, I think they are downright afraid to tie themselves to the donks.

The evidence is so overwhelming that the democrats and Obama/Biden are hugely unpopular. They have turned our nation into a global joke. I dare say America has never been at such a low point in our history. And you know what….Biden will run, he will win through massive cheating AGAIN, and not a damn thing will be done about it. That is, if we actually have an election.

This is flat out wrong. I moved here from MA, where a large percentage of people register as Independents. They get to vote in whatever party primary they want to, so no need to register with a party. I also found that just about every one of them that I ever talked to never voted for a Republican. They just like to say/think they are independent thinkers – until you question them on actual issues, then their real colors shine
