A border crisis allows hundreds of thousands of illegals to enter our country. A domestic war on terror threatens basic civil liberties.
But none of these crises have persuaded Graham to go to war. No, the civilizational question that demands his full zeal has to do with . . . a fast-food chain.

Logan Simmons, a worker at a Chick-fil-A in Flowery Branch, Georgia, jumped out of a drive-thru window to save the life of a six-year-old who was chocking. The boy had wrapped his seat belt around his neck. “I just jumped out the window and ran straight down to the car,” Simmons told Atlanta’s WSB-TV 2. “It was the quickest option.” Simmons said he could see the boy’s face turning red and losing pigmentation. To save the boy, he took out his pocket knife and cut the seat belt loose to free the young child. The boy’s mom called Simmons an hour later to thank him for his heroic actions. Once Simmons got home from work, he “nonchalantly” told his parents about his day. “He’d been home for a couple of hours and he said nonchalantly,…
Read the full storyA war on the U.S. Constitution and chicken is being waged in San Mateo County, California where an elected leader is trying to stop Chick-fil-A from opening a restaurant. David Canepa, a county supervisor wants to stop the Georgia-based company from establishing an outpost in Redwood City. “Hell no,” the leftist lawmaker told the local NBC television station. “Chick-fil-A’s values don’t represent our values,” Canepa said. “The logo might as well say ‘We hate gay people.’” For the record, the Chick-fil-A logo does not say, “We hate gay people.” It says eat more chicken. “When people think of the Chick-fil-A logo — what they think of is anti-LGBTQ,” he said. Now, that’s a lie and the supervisor knows it’s a lie. Chick-fil-A has never discriminated against gay people. They serve everyone — regardless of sexual orientation. These kinds of hateful attacks against Chick-fil-A is why I wrote “Culture Jihad: How to Stop the Left From Killing a Nation.” Supervisor Canepa told the CBS television station in San Francisco he wants to pressure the nation’s third-largest restaurant chain into canceling their plans. “What we are trying to do is to make sure Chick-fil-A–if they want to do business here–that there…
Read the full storyby Alexandra Hudson I sit down on a plush, blue-grey booth seat and admire the freshly cut daisies on the table in front of me. It’s a rainy day in Fort Wayne, Indiana, so the warmth of the spicy crispy chicken sandwich I prepare to sink my teeth into enlivens me. Unthinkingly, I tune in to a conversation happening at a window table to my right. “Here at Chick-fil-A, we treat our colleagues in the back kitchen as well as we treat our customers,” I overhear a supervisor sharing with a new employee. I smile to myself as I consider how this rule helps explain Chick-fil-A’s wild success. The ethos that permeates the restaurant—one where all are treated with equal respect and kindness—must be the reason for the unfailing joy that all employees, from management to servers, embody. It also explains the fierce customer loyalty, a group in which I include myself. “Can I offer you some fresh-ground pepper for your waffle fries?” a middle-aged woman with a bright smile catches my eye and asks me, temporarily suspending my eavesdropping. Intrigued by what I overheard the supervisor saying to the new employee, I decided to dig deeper into the…
Read the full storyby CHQ Editor George Rasley The recent sagas of the political discrimination against Chick-fil-A and the NRA are just two of the many cases of politically-driven regulatory action by Democrat officeholders and elected officials. What’s been done to Chick-fil-A and the NRA demonstrate just how bad life in America could get if Democrats ever return to complete control of the federal government. In San Antonio, TX and Buffalo, NY Chick-fil-A was prohibited from expanding into those cities’ airports by Democratic lawmakers who claimed, without evidence, that Chick-fil-A discriminated against homosexuals and transgendered individuals. The trampling of the First Amendment rights of the openly Christian business was so outrageous that the New York affiliate of the American Civil Liberties Union issued a statement after the chicken sandwich chain was blocked from the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. “Government actors cannot officially silence speech or take punitive actions based on a person’s or private entity’s political viewpoints,” NYCLU Assistant Director for Legislative Affairs Erika Lorshbough said in a statement to The Hill. “The First Amendment does not permit the NFTA to base its contracting decisions on the political views of a vendor.” According to reporting by RedState, the Texas-based First Liberty Institute…
Read the full storyby Grace Carr Despite ongoing criticism from activists, fast food chain Chick-fil-A is projected to become the third-largest restaurant chain in the U.S., according to an analysis from Kalinowski Equity Research. The fast food chicken chain will rise from its seventh-place spot to rank as the third-largest U.S. restaurant chain by 2018’s close, according to the group’s research, Business Insider reported. “We have long pointed out that Chick-fil-A is the restaurant competitor with which McDonald’s … should most concern itself — and by extension, investors should, too,” analyst Mark Kalinowski wrote in his report. “But this goes beyond McDonald’s,” Kalinowski noted. Kalinowski previously predicted the chain would assume the third-place spot in sales by 2020, but changed his forecast in April to 2019, Business Insider reported. Chick-fil-A’s sales will have risen between 12 and 15 percent by the end of 2018, amounting to an over $1 billion increase in sales, according to Business Insider. Chick-fil-A sales increased by 14.2 percent in 2017, Restaurant Business reported. McDonald’s and Starbucks claim the number one and two spots for restaurant chain sales in the U.S., respectively. Subway ranks third followed by Taco Bell, Burger King and Wendy’s, according to Business Insider. “If this plays out this way, Chick-fil-A’s 2018 U.S.…
