Mick Jagger Strolls Through Nashville Ahead of Rolling Stones Concert

Mick Jagger, lead singer of the legendary band, The Rolling Stones, ventured through Nashville Friday ahead of his band’s show at Nissan Stadium. Instead of visiting popular tourist destinations such as the Grand Ole Opry or the Ryman Auditorium, Jagger took a walk through nature and toured the PSC Metals junkyard in Nashville.

Jagger posted four photos on Twitter with the caption, “Exploring Nashville!” One photo shows Jagger smiling on what appears to be a nature trail, the second photo shows the singer observing white-tailed deer, the third shows him standing in front of a large pile of scrap metal, and the fourth photo shows Jagger standing in the Nissan Stadium parking lot.

On Saturday morning, the singer posted a video of his adventures in Nashville the previous night with the caption, “See you tonight Nashville! Shot/edited by Matt Clifford.” The video includes scenes along Broadway, eventually revealing Jagger strolling through a busy crosswalk wearing a dark jacket, cap and mask. In the video, the singer pulls the mask down momentarily to acknowledge the camera, all while the Rolling Stones song “Dead Flowers” plays in the background. The video closes with Jagger appearing up close to the camera before revealing an end message of “Hi Music City Love Mick.”

The Rolling Stones kicked off their No Filter fall tour last month. The band announced that the tour would proceed following the death of drummer Charlie Watts’ in August. Steve Jordan has been taking his place. “We all miss Charlie so much, on the stage and off the stage, and we’d love to dedicate this tour to Charlie,” Jagger told the crowd at the tour kickoff last month. “Here’s to you, Charlie!”

Yes, Every Kid

The last time The Rolling Stones came to Nashville was in June of 2015. Jagger made a stop at The Parthenon before that show.
