McCabe: The Public Discovery of Cocaine in the White House Tells Us More About the Secret Service than It Does About the Bidens

Neil W. McCabe – National political correspondent for One America News Network and former National Political Editor with The Star News Network – joined Michael Patrick Leahy on the newsmaker line on Wednesday’s episode of The Tennessee Star Report’s with Michael Patrick Leahy. The two discussed the breaking developments at the White House with the shocking discovery of cocaine in the library shortly after a visit by Hunter Biden, the president’s son.

TRANSCRIPT

Michael Patrick Leahy: 7:18 a.m. broadcasting live from our studios on Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee.

In studio, the original star panelist Crom Carmichael. On the newsmaker line right now, our very good friend, national political correspondent with One American News Network, formerly with The Tennessee Star and The Star News Network.

Mr. Neil W. McCabe. Good morning, Neil.

Neil W. McCabe: Michael, very good to be with you. Morning, Crom.

Yes, Every Kid

Michael Patrick Leahy:  Neil, I saw something of interest over the weekend, and I think perhaps you may give us some insights on this, but there was a white substance discovered, I think it was on Sunday, in the White House in the West Wing – that’s sort of like the private area, right?

Where the Biden family and the Biden officials are.

They tested it, and it turned out it was cocaine.

Now, like a day before, Hunter had been hanging out in the White House.

Is the White House now the crack house, Neil W. McCabe?

Neil W. McCabe: Well, you know, this is the weird thing about the White House, because it’s both a place of business.

Like it’s the official hub of the presidency and the federal government, but it is also where like the family lives and so, you know, when you’re covering the White House, you sort of have to deal with this because at any moment, like, just family members could be walking around, right?

And this is like their house. But yeah, this is so the presumption is that a member of the Biden family or someone who would’ve had access to that library or would be hanging out in that library probably left it behind.

Michael Patrick Leahy: I think that, you mean like a laptop just forgotten. Left, left behind, you know, that sort of thing or–

Neil W. McCabe:  Well, obviously, we have to consider that the Russians, right?

The Russians are always at play.

Michael Patrick Leahy: Right. Did the Russians put that white powder in the White House?

Neil W. McCabe: I think if you’re gonna go conspiracy theory, obviously the Russians are like, of course. Yes.

Remember that great movie with the late Alan Arkin, who just passed away, “The Russians are coming the Russians are coming“?

I think what really is at play here is the fact that while the Justice Department and the FBI are vehemently and viciously Anti-Trump, anti-conservative, anti-Republican, they have basically been completely taken over because of Jeff Sessions and his sort of inability to grab ahold of that basket of snakes.

At DOJ there was no effort made to clear out the Bolsheviks from DOJ that had all been planted and borrowed in during eight years of Obama. And maybe even going back to Clinton because the Bush administration was, you know, consumed with Afghanistan and Iraq.

However, the Secret Service from every indication, the men and women of the Secret Service absolutely despise Biden.

They remember when he first came in, you had the dog biting – you had the two dogs, right? And they’re like biting secret service officers.

And then the White House is saying, no, no one was bitten. And then Secret Service guys are like yeah, I was bitten right here on my leg. See the marks?

I think that the Secret Service had developed an affection for Trump and his family – and you see that, you know, during the rallies or any of the interactions he has with them.

I think that the Secret Service is really offended that they had a place they controlled – Mar-a-Lago, right? Soup to nuts, right?

The gates, they had the watch towers, they have the cameras and somehow the FBI comes in and, you know, when the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago almost a year ago, they were raiding a site that was controlled by the Secret Service.

And the Secret Service is like, “Hey, what’s going on here?”

And so the fact that someone from the Secret Service would let it be known that there was cocaine found in the West Wing Library. I think it really points to the fact that there, that the Biden administration has locked down most of the government, but they have not yet locked down the Secret Service.

Michael Patrick Leahy: So here’s a question for you.

So Hunter Biden has a sweetheart deal that, you know, gives him basically a couple of misdemeanors slap on the wrist, even though it’s been acknowledged that he failed to pay about $400,000 of income tax back in 2013, 2014.

He evaded taxes, but he’s getting off with a slap on the wrist that’s gonna go before a federal district judge for approval in a couple of days.

Is this discovery of cocaine in the White House gonna be included as a possible reason by the judge not to approve that deal?

Neil W. McCabe: Well, the problem here is that there’s, there’s no what we would call in the church a devil’s advocate, right? Who’s on – in the army they call it, the red team, right?

Who’s, who’s challenging this deal?

Basically, Hunter Biden has his counsel. The Justice Department comes in before the judge; they say this is a good deal.

You know, I’m not sure what the mechanism is for someone outside of that triad to raise an objection to it because obviously, obviously, the cocaine use would probably have an effect on his deal.

But also, you know, what about the five career prosecutors who were taken off of the Hunter Biden case after spending years on this thing?

You know, after David Weiss, the US attorney in Delaware, said, “No, no, no. Everything’s on the up and up. I was not thwarted.”

Unless the judge is reading the same place as I read online, like how is he gonna find it?

Michael Patrick Leahy: Very good point.

Hey, speaking of the 2024 presidential election – I mean, we can’t avoid it. We’re right in the middle of it.

Donald Trump, way ahead in all the polls; Biden, mumbling, stumbling, bumbling on his end.

There is a poll that just came out over the weekend that shows Trump in big lead over DeSantis but in third place at double digits. I think Trump was at 49, DeSantis at 16. Our buddy Vivek Ramaswamy at 10 percent.

What do you, what do you think of going on there?

Neil W. McCabe: I think Vivek is really doing well, and he’s really playing it well.

He’s positioning himself as a Trumpian candidate, sort of like that. In NASCAR, you know how like you ride the draft?

Michael Patrick Leahy: That’s a good, that’s a good way to describe it.

Neil W. McCabe:  And this was Ted Cruz’s strategy in 2016. “I’m just gonna ride Trump’s draft and then when Trump blows up, I’ll be there.”

And so I think that’s what Vivek’s trying to do is just sort of ride the Trumpian draft. And if something happens, heaven forbid you know, “Here I am.”

Whereas Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida – he’s presenting himself as more Trumpian than Trump, right? Trump could not be Trump enough.

“I am more Trumpian than Trump”

But it’s, but he’s doing it in a negative way. He’s like the anti-Trump.

It’s odd that a guy like DeSantis, who won re-election in November by 20 points, is not getting the traction. You know, he’s raised hundreds of millions of dollars.

And he was in marching on a parade for the 4th of July in Wellsboro, New Hampshire. But he’s just not getting the heat – not getting the traction.

Michael Patrick Leahy: Not getting the traction.

So last question. Last question. Is Biden gonna be the nominee on the Democrat side?

Neil W. McCabe:  Yes.

Michael Patrick Leahy: Okay. There we go. You got it. Straight from the horse’s mouth, Neil W. McCabe with the One American News Network, an outstanding national political correspondent.

Neil, thanks so much for joining us today.

We’ll be back with more after this.
