Six Ohio High School Teachers Won’t Face Charges After ‘Offensive’ Discussion of Student

Ohio Teachers caught on camera

Six high school teachers have been placed on leave, but will not face criminal charges, after a video of the two of those teachers surfaced in which they discussed the physical appearance of one of their students.

“Rocky River police decided not to pursue charges against members of Rocky River High School staff placed on administrative leave after video surfaced on them talking about a student ‘in an inappropriate manner,'” Cleveland.com said.

In the video, two teachers can be seen speaking to each other about a third teacher, who allegedly told them he had a nude photo of a student, which he described as a “beaver” photo.

“We’ve had a conversation where he said, ‘She’s smoking hot, I think she’s the best in the school,'” the first teacher in question said of the third teacher.

“Who’s this?” the second teacher asked.

Yes, Every Kid

The student’s name was redacted from the video.

In that video, the two teachers discuss whether they could be in trouble for the conduct of the first teacher. The first teacher said that the third teacher attempted to send him photos of the girl, but that he did not receive them because he had the third teacher’s phone number blocked.

Ultimately, they pair did not come to a conclusion about how to proceed in the video, though they questioned the judgement of the third teacher.

Rocky Road Schools Superintendent Michael Shoaf released a statement condemning the behavior of the teachers.

“Regarding the video of our staff members’ discussion that is circulating in the community, I’m disgusted, I’m shocked, and as the father of a teenage daughter in this district, I’m angry,” he reportedly said. “What was stated by these staff members was not only inappropriate and unprofessional, it was offensive.”

Those involved are on leave, pending an internal investigation.
