CROM CARMICHAEL:
Michael, when this whole thing about classified documents broke that Biden had them in one place at Penn University, that seemed bad enough. Now we’re learning that they’ve at least three more places.
And we’ve also learned, you sent me an email, that Hunter Biden when he was claiming his father’s residence was paying his father, I believe the article says, $49,000 a month in rent, but it’s unclear whether or not Biden showed that on his tax returns and if Hunter Biden was paying the rent.
First of all, rent is not tax-deductible, but it is taxable. If you’re the homeowner, if you own the property, it is taxable income. And so if you’ve not been declaring the income, then you are in violation of the IRS code. And there are 87,000 new agents, so there ought to be one who could do a little research there.
What we are seeing is this. None of what we are learning surprises me in the least, because, as we have said, the entire time that Biden has been a nominee is that he is, in his heart and soul, a grifter. He’s greedy.
He is self-centered, and he only looks at legislation through the lens of partisanship. He’s uninterested in any legislation that helps all Americans. And I say that because in every major piece of legislation, the money is funneled through two organizations that are unionized.
If you’re not unionized, you have a tough time getting any of the money, which means that he’s only interested in the people who support the Democrat party, and he’s using literally trillions of dollars to try to affect that base to the detriment of all others.
Given that is his very nature, his very essence, the fact that he could very well have taken $49,000 a month from his son, from ill-gotten gains where Joe Biden knew where the money was coming from, and then not declared taxes on it, that wouldn’t surprise me.
More investigation needs to be done to determine if (a) Hunter Biden actually did pay that amount of rent month after month; and (b) if he did, did Biden declare it?
If Biden didn’t declare it, then he’s a tax cheat.
But we also know with the classified documents, we now know that they’re in four different places. And the single greatest witness against Joe Biden and his taking, stealing, and, and, and that’s the right word here.
In the case of Trump, you know, they say these are different. That Trump is worse.
No, Trump was the president of the United States. When Barack Obama left the presidency, he took millions of pages of classified documents because he’s the president, I’m not going to say they necessarily have the right to do it, because I don’t really know.
But I know Barack Obama did do it, and they’re stored and he said he’ll let the archives know he still has them, but Trump had them. And he was in discussions with federal authorities on which documents he could keep and which ones he couldn’t.
And it was well-known what documents he had because he let the FBI in and anybody who wanted anybody with authority to go into Mar-a-Lago and look at the documents. But then the FBI decided, and the White House and Merrick Garland decided to do a raid and we know the rest is history.
But then Joe Biden went on 60 Minutes, and he talked about how reckless and risky all this stuff was. Well, Biden stole the documents because a vice president does not have any more authority to take classified documents than any other federal employee.
In fact, we even have a recent case where a person was convicted, I believe not just indicted. Wasn’t there a person convicted for taking for having some classified documents for a day or two in their hotel room?
What you have now is a standard that over and over again, people who mishandle classified documents are convicted. Somebody who steals classified documents, it’s much worse. In Biden’s case, he didn’t just simply mishandle them, he stole them.
And so it’ll be interesting to see what happens. It is my hope that Republicans in the House can’t do anything from a criminal standpoint other than hold hearings and write up articles of impeachment.
The evidence so far is, I don’t know that anybody is saying that the documents were allegedly in his garage or that there were documents allegedly in his offices that were paid for by the Chinese Communist Party or that they were allegedly here or allegedly there.
I think everybody acknowledges they actually were. So there’s not an allegation of that. If that’s the truth and the Republicans hold hearings and find that to be true, they should impeach him forthwith on that single charge.
And then that single charge should go to the Senate. And then at that point, the Senate is forced, that’s the only thing the Senate can’t do that comes out of the House. The Senate cannot bury an impeachment and say, we’ll take it up later.
And then the Democrats in the Senate, and there are many of them who are up for reelection and a lot of them are moderates or claim to be moderates.
None of them are, but they claim to be. But they’ll be in highly contested elections. And this ought to go on throughout Biden’s final two years because that is now the precedent. And as we’ve discussed, equal treatment is essential to a functioning civil society.
And what you have is how Donald Trump was treated was wrong because they invented crimes that were previously not crimes, a phone call to a foreign head is not. And they released the transcript so we know what was on it. But they just contrived and made that into an impeachable offense.
But in this case, we don’t have to contrive anything thing. They just follow the law. And then if Biden is convicted or if Biden is forced from office, then you have President Harris. And President Harris is used to being called President Harris because Joe Biden calls her President Harris on a regular basis.
