Big and Rich singer-songwriter, television host, and whiskey entrepreneur John Rich will host an election night watch party at his downtown bar, Redneck Riviera. The Tennessee Republican Party emailed invitations to the event on Monday.
Currently, President Donald Trump is favored to win Tennessee. The same holds true for Republican Bill Hagerty in his senate race against Democrat Marquita Bradshaw.
Prior to Election Day, Rich tweeted out a plea for people to abstain from rioting over the election’s results.
“To whom it may concern: No matter the outcome tomorrow, please don’t burn and loot our cities. Sincerely, America.”
Although other major cities across the nation are boarding up their businesses in anticipation of election outcomes, Nashville hasn’t.
As The Tennessee Star reported, Rich spoke at Turning Point USA Nashville’s debate watch party several weeks ago. The country star was the first speaker in the pre-debate lineup. During his speech, Rich encouraged the audience to pray for their persecutors, and hold firmly to their beliefs.
Nashville’s mayor, John Cooper, mandated that events be limited to 500 guests or 30 percent capacity. This stipulation remained, although Cooper announced Monday that lifted the 50 percent capacity limit for bars and restaurants.
According to Cooper’s mandates, Redneck Riviera’s election night watch party will also enforce mask wearing, social distancing, and the city’s 11 pm curfew.
Tickets for free seats are limited and will be available up until the time of the event. Otherwise, $100 VIP tickets are available which include appetizers and a three hour open bar. Guests must arrive between 5 and 5:30 pm, or their seats will be released.
The Tennessee Republican Party also shared links to other election night watch parties: Flat Rock Farms in Lewisburg and Marioochi’s Pizzeria & The Coffee Collective in Sparta.
Tickets for the watch parties in Lewisburg and Sparta are limited and cost $25 and $10, respectively. Those who wish to attend the Sparta event must submit an email request.
