Live from Music Row, Wednesday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed Turning Point USA Faith Field Representative Nicole Herschberger and its Rutheford County Chapter President Hannah Faulkner in studio to discuss the Teens Against Gender Mutilation Rally coming January 28th in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Leahy: Right now, we are delighted to welcome to our microphones two patriots, Nicole Herschberger, who is the Tennessee (TPUSA) Turning Point USA Field representative here in Tennessee. Nicole, welcome to The Tennessee Star Report.
Herschberger: Michael, thank you so much for having me. I appreciate it. So good to be here.
Leahy: And also, I believe this is the youngest guest we’ve ever had on our program. She’s 15 years old. She’s the chapter president of Turning Point USA in Rutherford County, Hannah Faulkner. Good morning, Hannah.
Faulkner: Yes, thank you so much for having me and Nicole on. We are so excited to be here with you.
Leahy: We need to get this out on video. I wish our listeners could see the smile on Hannah Faulkner’s face. It is the widest smile that I’ve ever seen. Are you happy to be here today?
Faulkner: Absolutely. It is the joy of the Lord to be here in the United States of America, the freest and greatest country in the history of our planet.
Leahy: Well, there you go, folks. (Laughter) How do you top that? So the two of you TPUSA faith, Middle Tennessee, and the Rutherford County chapter of Turning Point USA is holding a rally in Murfreesboro on January 28th at 2:00 p.m.
And it’s called Teens Against Gender mutilation Rally. Hannah Faulkner, the president of Turnpoint USA Rutherford County chapter, tell us a little bit about how this rally idea came about.
Faulkner: Nicole had actually sent me a text regarding possibly doing a pro-life rally. And I was like, yeah, that’s a great idea. But then I saw this Boro Pride Dash that happened, I think it was in September or October, and it was considered to be family-friendly.
But nothing is family-friendly regarding the LGBTQ movement and drag shows amongst children, which is biologically a sex cult if I do say so myself. And so I was really outraged by this act.
Sexual activity amongst children. It’s disgusting. And it’s happening in the conservative local city of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. And I thought you know what? We have to stand out. We have to get the children, we have to get these teenagers involved that don’t want to be involved.
And I said, why don’t we do a Teens Against Gender Mutilation rally? And she was like, let’s do it. And she was on board. And I was so excited that she was on board also. So that was kind of the thought that went into this rally.
Leahy: I think it’s a good thought. And Nicole, you’re the field representative for TPUSA Faith. Some on the liberal left might be shocked that teens are opposed to General Mutilation.
Herschberger: Yes. Well, in today’s day and age, they say millennials are the next generation, the Gen Z generation. There’s no hope. But I would rally against that and say we are the force that’s going to take back this great nation. And it really starts at the grassroots level.
And that’s what TPUSA Faith is all about. We are an affiliate of Turning Point USA. But our mission here at TPUSA Faith, is to engage the Christian community, specifically of all ages, to start taking a stand in protecting our God-given freedoms. Because if the church doesn’t stand up, our morality is lost in this country.
Leahy: So the two of you are pretty young. Nicole, you graduated from Belmont, correct, in 2020?
Herschberger: Yes.
Leahy: We’ll talk a little bit about how you ended up at TPUSA. Faith. Hannah, 15 years old.
Faulkner: Yes, sir.
Leahy: And you’re homeschooled?
Faulkner: Yes.
Leahy: And you’re doing an associate degree online right now at Liberty University, is that right?
Faulkner: Yes. The criminal justice associate’s degree.
Leahy: And your career aspirations are you want to go to Liberty University?
Faulkner: Yes, sir.
Leahy: And then go to Liberty University Law School.
Faulkner: Yes.
Leahy: We have some friends there. Okay. We’re friends with Dave Brat, the dean of the business school and professor of law at Liberty University. Phil Klein is a very good friend of ours.
Faulkner: That is amazing.
Leahy: We’ll send you a letter of recommendation.
Faulkner: We love that. Thank you.
Leahy: And so do you have personal security guards?
Herschberger: Actually, what the city of Murfreesboro is doing on our behalf is they’re actually going to provide our state police officers of Murfreesboro.
Leahy: You’re going to need security.
Herschberger: A lot of it.
Leahy: Because the wacko lefties don’t like to have alternatives to their weird view of the world. We’ll have more details on the Teens Against Gender Mutilation rally in Murfreesboro, on January 28th at 2:00 p.m.
