The latest numbers from the Tennessee Secretary of State’s office show that 820,587 Tennesseans have voted early in the first five days of voting.
The numbers are still less than 2020 numbers, when 910,802 cast their ballots in the first five days a 9.91% decrease. More voters used absentee ballots in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer launched a new multimillion-dollar program in her state Wednesday offering free birth control to all residents.
The “Take Control of your Birth Control” program will provide Michiganders with condoms, over-the-counter oral contraceptives and emergency contraception starting in November until supplies run out, according to a press release. The program is being administered by Michigan’s Department of Health and Human Services, which was awarded $5.6 million in taxpayer funds to expand family planning services, according to the state’s budget.

A political action committee organized to support candidates friendly to cryptocurrency, the Bitcoin Voters PAC, released a new advertisement to run in Pennsylvania ahead of the election. The group supports former President Donald Trump and Republican Senate nominee Dave McCormick.
After suggesting cryptocurrency, specifically Bitcoin, could be as significant to Pennsylvania’s economy as steel, the ad highlighted past statements by Trump and McCormick offering support to the industry.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, welcomed Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials into his Nebraska classroom while working as a teacher in the 1990s, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation found.
In February 1996, a delegation of three “educators” from southeast China visited Walz’s Alliance High School social studies class “to study the education system,” according to an unearthed Alliance Times-Herald article. However, the delegation included CCP officials who at the time worked for an institute serving a Chinese influence and intelligence agency, according to a DCNF review of Chinese government records.

A Detroit Muslim leader was removed from a Kamala Harris rally and says a campaign organizer told him to leave without providing a reason.
“She took me to the door, and she closed it, and I found two police officers waiting there, and she said, ‘You have to leave right now,’” Ghanim told the Metro Times on Tuesday. “I asked why she was kicking me out. She wouldn’t answer. I was very calmly asking why I was being kicked out.”

The Georgia Supreme Court blocked a Republican effort Tuesday to require poll workers to hand-count the number of ballots cast, upholding a lower court’s decision.
A Georgia judge previously blocked a state election board rule that would have required counties to hand-count ballots on Election Day. The Republican National Committee (RNC) and Georgia GOP appealed to the state’s highest court, requesting a quick reinstatement of the rules during their ongoing legal challenge, Politico reported.

As the Mihos family was enjoying a meal Monday at a McDonald’s in Bucks County, Pennsylvania — the same restaurant where former President Donald Trump worked the drive-thru Sunday — they noticed something peculiar: a group of armed guards clad in bulletproof vests.
“We walked in. It seemed fine. We ordered and we sat down, but then we looked to our left, and there were several armed guards just sitting there,” Jessica Mihos, a mother of four sons and lifelong Bucks County resident, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “One of [the guards] stepped outside, and I saw him walking around our car. I thought he was checking if we have our insurance or something…Then [my husband and I] are like, ‘these guys are security;’ ‘these guys are really watching and seeing what’s going on.’ It was then I made the connection [to Trump].”

Georgia Republican Party Chair Josh McKoon on Tuesday called for an election nonprofit to dissolve or distance itself from the fundraising email sent by Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger on its behalf.
McKoon issued his statement after Women for America First Executive Director Kylie Kremer surfaced the email written by Raffensperger. The email revealed that the secretary used a personal email to solicit funds for the Election Defense Fund, Inc., a purported nonprofit 501 (c) (4), a distinction that allows it to raise money without revealing its funding sources.

Proposed legislation would transfer 3,060 acres of land from the United States Forest Service to the Tonto Apache Tribe in the Payon, Arizona, area in the form of a trust.
Arizona Sens. Kyrsten Sinema and Mark Kelly introduced the “Tonto Apache Land Transfer Act” would fulfill the tribe’s goal to expand its reservation and construct more housing. Roughly 100 people live on the reservation, according to the Inter Tribal Council of Arizona website.

According to a just-released Education Opportunity in America report by 50CAN, only 39% of public school parents are satisfied with their child’s education.
Other polling results are also discouraging. Released in August, EdChoice’s annual Schooling in America Survey revealed that 64% of parents think K–12 education in America is on the wrong track. Not only is this an eight-point increase from last year, but it is also the highest level of pessimism among parents since the question was first asked in 2014.

With just 13 days left until the 2024 election, Democrats have lost significant ground to Republicans in voter registration in one crucial battleground state.
As reported by Fox News, the state of Pennsylvania currently has 9,088,583 registered voters as of the end of the registration period on Monday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of State. Of that total, 3,971,607 are Democrats while 3,673,783 are Republicans. Another 1.4 million are registered as independent or with a third party.
