Peter Robinson, the former Reagan White House speechwriter who drafted President Ronald Reagan’s famous 1987 “Tear down this wall” address, will moderate discussions following a four-part lecture series featuring venture capitalist Peter Thiel in downtown Nashville later this month.

The Nashville Antichrist Lectures, presented by The Pamphleteer in collaboration with Meriwether Academy, will begin Monday, September 28, and continue on four consecutive Mondays through October 19.

The series, according to a release about the event obtained by The Tennessee Star, will explore the biblical Antichrist through Thiel’s perspective on science, technology, and modern society, drawing on history, literature, art, theology, and politics.

Robinson served in the Reagan White House during the final years of the Cold War and later hosted conversations with Thiel on Uncommon Knowledge. He will moderate the discussion and question-and-answer session following each lecture, guiding conversations between Thiel and attendees.

Reagan delivered the “Tear down this wall” speech at the Brandenburg Gate in West Berlin on June 12, 1987, during the Cold War. The address included Reagan’s call for Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev to remove the Berlin Wall separating East and West Berlin.

The Nashville series is structured as a sequential and cumulative program, with The Pamphleteer encouraging attendees to participate in all four evenings.

Doors will open at 5:00 p.m., with each lecture scheduled from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed by discussion and Q&A potion anticipated to last until 8:00 p.m.

Tickets cost $100 and provide admission to all four lectures. The events will take place at a downtown Nashville location that will be disclosed to ticket holders the morning before each lecture.

The lectures will be closed-door and off the record. Attendees must present a valid photo ID matching their registration, and security wands will be used. Bags and electronic devices will not be permitted during the program.

Tickets and registration are available here.
