U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Monday reported seizing a shipment from Tanzania containing “mantis egg masses.” The CBP Office of Field Operations in Memphis made the discovery, and it is the second seizure involving praying mantis parts in the Tennessee city since 2021.
In a social media post, the CBP Office of Field Operations confirmed that agriculture specialists in Tennessee were brought in to investigate the illicit shipment, in which bug eggs had apparently been disguised within a photo frame.

The Department of Justice has found that the University of California, Berkeley School of Law illegally discriminated against Asian and white applicants based on race during its 2024 and 2025 admissions processes, after the Supreme Court struck down affirmative action.
“Berkeley Law School’s deliberate efforts to circumvent the Supreme Court’s decision in [Students for Fair Admission v. Harvard] demonstrate a complete disregard for the rule of law,” said assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division, Harmeet K. Dhillon. “The department will continue to aggressively pursue compliance from schools who attempt to racially manipulate their student bodies in violation of federal law.”

The United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit denied New Jersey’s effort to block a suit by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) against a law allowing the state to sue gun stores and firearm manufacturers in an opinion released Tuesday. The three-judge panel consisting of two Trump appointees and a Clinton appointee on senior status ruled that the six lawsuits the state had filed under A1765, a 2022 law that targeted the firearms industry, gave the trade group standing to challenge the law.

As the Russo-Ukrainian war continues, Americans may blame Russian leader Vladimir Putin for starting “World War III.” It is correct that World War III has started, but its cause is the People’s Republic of China (PRC), not Russia.
The war did not start with Putin’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022 or with the appeasement of Russia in the years before Putin’s foolish aggression. It started with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The CCP has been at war with the U.S. since coming to power in 1949 and has employed many fronts in this war to undermine America and the West. The CCP’s May 2019 declaration of “People’s War” against the U.S. was CCP leader Xi Jinping’s call for a maximal effort against America. Not coincidentally, the COVID-19 outbreak soon followed. The CCP lied about COVID’s origins, refused to share information with the world, and used Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO), as its willing accomplice. Another front is CCP election interference.
