Americans for Prosperity Action Endorses State House Candidate Michelle Foreman

Americans for Prosperity Action, which is the political arm of the grassroots organization Americans for Prosperity, endorsed State House candidate Michelle Foreman.

According to the group’s website, they back candidates that support policies that “foster economic growth and allow Americans to keep more of their hard-earned paychecks, eliminate burdensome regulations that stifle innovation, drive down the cost of health care and improve the well-being of individuals.”

Foreman is running to represent Tennessee’s 59th House District. The district covers portions of Davidson County, including sections of Bellevue, Belle Meade, Hillwood, West Meade, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, Brentwood, and Cane Ridge.

“Michelle Foreman has a history of fighting for lower taxes and tax reform,” said AFP Action-TN Senior Advisor Tori Venable. “She supported the Nashville Taxpayer Protection Act, rallied opposition to a 34 percent property tax increase in the Nashville area, and helped stop a local transit tax increase. In the State House of Representatives, Michelle Foreman will hit the ground running as a taxpayer advocate we can all count on.”

“AFP Action volunteers are excited to support her campaign and turn voters out to support her election,” Venable added.

AFP Action’s website claims the organization made “more than 8.5 million telephone calls, 1.5 million door knocks, and more than 49 million pieces of mail” during the previous election. They have endorsed several candidates across the country, including TN-5 candidate Andy Ogles.

Foreman’s platform includes multiple issues that are important to voters: public safety, education, government overreach, wasteful spending, and health care.

Yes, Every Kid

In addition to Foreman, Republican Wyatt Rampy is running in the Republican primary. The real estate professional is running on better schools, increased safety, and a better economy.

Caleb Hemmer is the only Democrat on the ballot.
