Hamilton County GOP Says Tennessee Might End up Like Michigan and Minnesota with More Refugees

Members of the Hamilton County Republican Party have denounced Tennessee Republican Gov. Bill Lee for deciding to continue resettling refugees in the state.

In doing so, they also denounced Chattanooga Democratic Mayor Andy Burke for deciding to do something similar.

Members of the Hamilton County GOP made their statement on their official Twitter page.

“Gov. Bill Lee and Mayor Burke are all WRONG on #refugee resettlement into area. See demise of cities like Deerborn, MI, Minneapolis, MN and others w/no ASSIMILATION, citizens forced out #badpolicy #blockit #backdooramnesty Help refugees in home territory!” members of the group said in a since-deleted tweet.

As The Chattanooga-based WRCB TV reported, Chattanooga will welcome refugees next year, per Burke.

Yes, Every Kid

“We’ve had the highest rise in the number of foreign-born residents to come to Chattanooga in the last four years than any city in America,” the station quoted Berke as saying.

“The governor has said that he’s willing to allow refugees here, which is a positive step forward, so what we want to do is make sure that we as a community welcome people.”

The United States will accept up to 18,000 refugees in 2020, the station reported, adding that’s down from 30,000 that were accepted in 2019 according to Pew Research.

As The Tennessee Star reported Monday, members of the Tennessee Alliance/Tennessee Grassroots Patriots are asking Tennesseans to engage with their local and other elected officials to make sure their areas are not refugee resettlement areas.

They ask that you also contact your local elected officials to make sure they do declare your area a Second Amendment Sanctuary.

Members of the Tennessee Alliance/Tennessee Grassroots Patriots made this request in an email to their members Sunday. They cited U.S. Republican President Donald Trump’s recent Executive Order asking states and localities to offer input as to whether they want refugees resettled into their areas.

Members of the group are asked to contact their city and county mayors and county commissioners “to issue a formal directive to the Governor of Tennessee, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and President Trump, Your TN. State Rep. & Senator, indicating that they DO NOT WANT Refugees Resettled into their areas.”

The policy makers have to be extreme left wing radicals helping the rise of Communism in America. Their policies are to continously impose destabilizing policy to increase social recipients when more and more good paying middle class wage jobs continously flee the country. Definitely policy for economic destabilization and instability to help create more financial strain on community and nations revenues which cant even reduce the nations already unsustainable debt in the trillions.
These political traitors got to go and/or be tried for Communist activism and agenda to take down America and helping in the rise of global Communism

We do not want refugee in Tn. We can’t afford to feed our own Tennessee people. So why would we want more mouths to feed or give warfare too. We are a poor humble state send them to California or New York, those states have plenty of money and they want refugee’s. We do not want refugee. You Governor Lee will never get my vote. He is a one term wonder how he got in office to begin with.

We need to find a decent Republican to replace him before we can recall him….And better make it quick.

    1. Karen Bracken

You cannot recall him. There is no recall for Governor in TN. Perhaps you should meet with some legislators and get recall at every level of elected office in TN, all the way up to DC level. Our Assembly needs a resolution of No Confidence against Lee. Problem is he alledgedly made promises for their vote on his voucher bill and he can always pull back those promises and I have no doubt he would do it. Our legislators need to understand what the public already knows. What the government gives the government can take away. Thats what happens when you sell your soul.

  9. James Locke

No refugees wanted in my neighborhood, we should recall Bill Lee

  10. Mary

At least some local politicians get it. Muslims have already changed the way of life for many in TN. Why does Lee want more? He should just go ahead and resign.
