Republican State Executive Committee Candidate Lulu Elam Purchases Advertising Spot on The Tennessee Star Report

Lulu Elam, who is running for the Republican State Executive Committee in District 20, has purchased an advertisement spot on The Tennessee Star Report, a program produced by Star News Digital Media that airs weekdays from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. on TalkRadio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC.

The purchase consists of two 60-second spots per show day airing in the 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. hours (10 spots/week @$70 per spot at 6 a.m. and 7 a.m.). The first day of the paid advertisement began on Monday, June 6th, and will conclude on Friday, June 17th.

The Republican State Executive Committee (SEC), led by Chairman Scott Golden, governs the affairs of the Tennessee Republican Party (TRP). The SEC consists of 66 members – one man and one woman – who are elected from each of the 33 state districts and serve a four-year term.

Elam is looking to replace current-SEC officer Michelle Foreman, who is running as a Republican candidate for Tennessee’s 59th Congressional District.

As a Nashville native and 7th-generation Tennessean, Elam is running on a campaign promise to recruit conservative candidates that represent the GOP’s values, involve varied communities to grow and enrich the GOP, protect and strengthen the integrity of elections, and promote clear and fair rules for candidate qualification.

“The principles on which our nation was founded have served us well for over two and a half centuries,” Elam states on her campaign website. “I care deeply about getting us back on the right track by recruiting candidates to represent our values, solve real problems, promote opportunity, and protect our freedoms … especially free speech on which all other freedoms rely upon. It is my hope to strengthen the Tennessee Republican Party, to make it as effective and inclusive as possible.”

Voters will be able to vote for their next SEC officer in District 20 at the ballot box on August 4th.
