Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King called Monday for the removal of statues, murals and stained glass windows that depict Jesus as a “white European,” which he claimed “are a form of white supremacy.”
“Yes, I think the statues of the white European they claim is Jesus should also come down,” King, a former surrogate on Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’s 2020 presidential campaign, wrote on Twitter. “They are a form of white supremacy. Always have been.”
King’s targeting of religious artwork comes as various activist groups have moved beyond tearing down Confederate statues and are now calling for the removal of other historical monuments.
“In the Bible, when the family of Jesus wanted to hide, and blend in, guess where they went?” he added. “EGYPT! Not Denmark. Tear them down.”
Yes.
All murals and stained glass windows of white Jesus, and his European mother, and their white friends should also come down.
They are a gross form white supremacy.

If it is church property or public property or state, city, or county property or someone’s personal property you have no right to vandalize or destroy it! appeal the right way the legal way, the CIVILIZED way to the state, county, or church to take it down or replace it, don’t just start smashing and tearing statues down that you do not like or agree with. Try a civilized peaceful legal approach and stop advocating anarchy.. Jesus was middle eastern brown, not black not white, olive!

Your white Jesus is not the accurate Jesus that you supposedly serve. If you know anything about geography those statues in these catholic churches are actually disrespectful to who He is. White washing Jesus is not okay.

Perhaps SK should blend in more into his own environment. These images were made by people within their own environment for people of their own environment. Perhaps he should go to Africa and Israel to view their differences. When in Rome comes to mind. I have absolutely nothing against a black Jesus in Africa, or a yellow Jesus in Asia. The lunatics have taken over the asylum.

While all this blustering and destruction is going on, perhaps we should be taking a look at the likelihood of War between China and India…with Russia looking on with great interest. If that comes to pass, we’ll all be in the soup – where will the statue breakers and their demagogues be standing and shouting then?

So I’m a white human being am I an example of white supremacy. Am I going to get torn down. How far are we taking this. No one actually knows 100 percent how Jesus looked. We all know he is the savior and no matter how he is depicted should be respected.
David, there are most certainly people within the BLM movement that would answer “Yes” to the question “…Am I going to get torn down.”
At the beginning of the BLM movement, shortly after its inception in 2013, I chatted online with the organizations founders; they most certainly had opinions that “…white people will not understand till they start getting killed like we have.” They were referring to Martin getting killed.
I chatted online with them for nearly a month; they did not know who I was, and still don’t. During those chats, I explained that due to their small numbers, and hostile behavior towards all whites, they would not see success until they changed their tactics; they needed to come in line with mainstream America; they needed all minority groups, including the various LGBTQ, to have a real presence of power.
During those chats, most of the input towards LGBTQ was very negative; many refused to extend even basic mutual respect for the lives of other minorities as well. However, the person I now recognize as Alicia Garza, saw the importance of not isolating their group. Today, it appears they took some of the information to market their ideas to a broader audience. But that does not dismiss the violent undertones of their message then; “If whites die, who f_ _ king cares, the more the better,” one founder said.
To answer your question directly, YES, eventually you, me, and all whites will be “Torn down” if they have their way.
Actually there are accounts. of how Jesus looked. One letter to the Senate in Rome from an original letter of Publius Lentullus at Rome. It being the usual custom of Roman Governors to advertise the Senate and people of such material things as happened in their provinces in the days of Tiberius Caesar, Publius Lentullus, President of Judea, wrote the following epistle to the Senate concerning the Nazarene called Jesus.

Unwilling to interrupt Him by my presence, I continued my walk but signified to my secretary to join the group and listen. Later, my secretary reported that never had he seen in the works of all the philosophers anything that compared to the teachings of Jesus. He told me that Jesus was neither seditious nor rebellious, so we extended to Him our protection”

We do NOT ever touch statues of our savior ! Not ever ! That is so wrong and for people to even think that that or any other nasty awful lewd crude wrong very wrong things that people are thinking that is OK proves that this world it’s so dead and rotten from the inside out and when you start tearing down and DESTROYING our savior and the churches and anything to do with our creator and our existence! Any statue’s skin color is simply a function of the material used to create it. It’s color holds no hidden or blatant meaning.
IF any particular meaning about a statue’s skin color -was- intended, it certainly failed, because a statue’s skin color is indistinct from every other part: clothing – hair – shoes – etc. It would be just as silly as trying to derive meaning from the color of it’s sandals.
So the American census includes Egyptians as white. If he went there to blend in, do we keep the statues?
Yes, he was middle eastern Jewish. Yes, people need to stop tearing down every thing they disagree with.
No matter what skin color Jesus was, He loved all the children of the world ( red & yellow, black & white) they are precious in His sight!
God made all these skin colors! His love comes from His Heart, He judges our hearts , not our skin color!
