Tennessee Democratic Party spokesman Mark Brown is under fire once again, this time for calling American gun owners the “biggest terrorist organization on the planet.”
Fox News reported on Brown’s 2015 Facebook post making that statement. A video of the report is available here.
The Fox News report was based on a story by The Washington Free Beacon, which said, “A top spokesman for the Tennessee Democratic Party’s effort to get Phil Bredesen elected U.S. senator has said he views ‘white male’ gun owners as ‘the biggest terrorist organization on the planet.’”
Brown is communications director for Tennessee Victory 2018, a project of the state Democratic party that’s been working exclusively on electing Bredesen. The group is hosting Bredesen for a Johnson City meet-and-greet on Thursday afternoon.
Bredesen, for whom Brown once worked and is now actively campaigning on behalf of, has yet to denounce Brown’s hateful rhetoric. Bredesen has tried to claim he supports the Second Amendment, but has been given a “D” rating from the National Rifle Association.
“The fact that Brown remains employed by Tennessee Democrats despite his hateful comments toward supporters of President Trump and the Second Amendment tells you everything you need to know,” said Tennessee Republican Party Chairman Scott Golden. “Phil Bredesen and his Democratic party do not stand with Tennesseans on the issues they care about.”
Brown has a history of offensive comments towards Tennesseans on social media. In July, media reported on Brown labeling Trump voters “idiots” and calling the President a “racist” and “f—stik” (sic). He also said “f*** ‘reaching out’ to Trump voters. The idiots aren’t listening.”
Trump received more than 60 percent of the vote in Tennessee in 2016.
Brown was also caught lying about the explosive Project Veritas Action video revealing Bredesen was lying when he said he would support Judge Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court.
Last Friday, Harriet Wallace at Fox News 17 called out Brown, who she said “lied” about the Bredesen campaign workers captured on video when he first claimed that they were interns and volunteers, not paid staff.

Sim, you’re right. That’s quite obvious since “militia” in the 2nd Amendment references Article I, Section 8.16 which RESTRICTS the Federal Government to the delegated power ” for governing such part of them (the militia) as may be EMPLOYED in its service.” Therefore the fedgov has NO delegated power re: “the righted the People to keep and bear arms”. The 2nd Amendment protects our God-given, pre-existing right to keep and bear militia arms because it is for “the security of a free State” referring to “the People” of “the several States”.
Somebody needs to “Inform these Idiots” that the Constitution “Authorizes” citizens to use those guns to “KILL” people who try to disarm them.
The “Second Amendment” is about Citizens, not the law, not the Military, using those guns in securing their “Rights and Freedoms”.
And citizens can’t be “penalized” for exercising their “DUTY” and their “RIGHTS”.
