Trump Calls School Choice ‘The Civil Rights Statement of the Year’

by Mary Margaret Olohan

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that school choice is the “civil rights statement of the year.”

“School choice is the civil rights statement of the year, of the decade and probably beyond,” he said at a White House press conference. “Because all children have to have access to a quality education. A child’s ZIP code in America should never determine their future.”

Parental choice, or school choice, allows parents to choose the public school their child will attend, rather than having their child assigned to a school based on where the family lives. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos has focused many of her efforts on expanding school choice since she took her position in 2017.

The president’s comments came after Vice President Mike Pence accused 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden on Tuesday of preventing black parents from obtaining the American dream by blocking them from choosing where their kids go to school.

“Biden says everybody ought to have a fair shot at the American dream,” Pence said on “Fox and Friends.” “We would say, ‘Well, why don’t you support allowing African-American families to choose where their kids go to school?’”

Yes, Every Kid

He added: “We really do believe that you shouldn’t be denied the ability to choose where your kids go to school just because of your zip code or because of your income. We also, as you said, under this president’s policy, we had the lowest unemployment level ever recorded for African-Americans.”

Biden’s “Plan for Education” states that he will “ensure that no child’s future is determined by their zip code, parents’ income, race, or disability” by tripling the funding that goes to schools “serving a high number of children from low-income families,” improving teacher diversity, and building “innovative” schools in low-income communities.

Teacher’s unions put the teamsters to shame. The union priority is the union, they only give lip service to education when needed. The union collects union dues, we are talking millions of dollars. The union money is used to fund re election funds to the politicians that they know will support all the union’s interests. This cycle has been repeated since the sixties. They are molding our youth in their image. Lets end this racket, let parents decide where their children go to school not the teacher’s union and the politicians.

Federal govt. doesn’t run your local schools, and by no means should federal govt. have anything to do with your school system. Funny how they have you dancing to the red team blue team song as we waltz away from USA and into federal communism. If Trump or Biden says anything about state/local public education, they need to be told to shut up. If Trump was conservative and not a big fake that you fools fall for everyday, the DoE would have disappeared by now.

Biden wants to triple $ to schools with low income families; Trump wants to use school choice, which is fair market strategy.

Throwing $$ at schools won’t work; competition will

I’ll tell you exactly why democrats don’t allow school choice , look at their playbook below . Checkout # 6 .

Democrats insist on controlling what a child read’s and learns . School choice is a threat to democrat control.

There are eight levels of control that must be obtained before you’re able to attain a socialist state , the first is the most important :

#1 Healthcare , control healthcare and you control the people .

#2) Poverty , increase the poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you’re providing everything for them to live.

#3) Debt , Increase the debt to an unsustainable level that way you’re able to increase taxes and this will produce more poverty.

#4) Gun control, remove peoples ability to defend themselves from the government , that way you are able to create a police state.

#5) Welfare ,Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food housing & income)

#6) Education , take control of what people read and listen to , take control of what children learn in school : Think Common core

#7) Religion , remove the belief in God from government & schools .

#8) Class warfare , divide the people into the healthy and the poor as this will provide more discontent and make it easier to “Tax” the wealthy with the support of the poor .
