U.S. Representative Mark Green on Monday said his legislation seeking to permanently prohibit a Biden-era scheme between the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to create a new class of company that would allow foreigners to buy American land for the sole purpose of discontinuing all economic activity.
Green earlier this month introduced the Protect America’s Lands Act, which would specifically prohibit the establishment of Natural Asset Companies (NACs). The concept, under the Biden administration policy proposed between the SEC and NYSE, would have allowed the foreign purchase of American land for the purpose of returning it to its natural state.
Specifically, the value of land would have been established “based on nature and the benefits that nature provides,” the NYSE reportedly stated during a public comment period that ended January 18.
With one day remaining in the public comment period, and just three days until President Donald Trump returned to the White House, the SEC filed notice that it would voluntarily withdraw its plans on January 17.
Green, in a post to the social media platform X, specifically named the Chinese Communist Party.
“From cyber intrusions to espionage campaigns, the Chinese Communist Party is waiting in the wings for any chance to exploit our weaknesses—we can’t give it that opportunity. My bill will protect American lands and the benefits they provide to the American people,” wrote Green.
He stated, “NACs have no place in America. The Protect America’s Lands Act is critical to protect our lands form foreign adversaries and woke billionaire climate activists.”
Chinese companies and investors currently own at least 383,934 acres of farmland throughout the country, about 1 percent of the total.
The Tennessee Republican’s legislation was filed as the Trump administration pursues policies confronting China’s interests, including tariffs placed on the nation by Trump earlier this month.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio additionally secured commitments that Panama would end its participation in China’s Belt and Road Initiative, a foreign investment initiative that critics call a “debt trap” which forces countries to become subservient to China.
During the opening days of the Trump administration, Green led Republican House members in a letter demanding answers from the U.S. Coast Guard over its policies for dealing with vessels owned by a state-owned Chinese shipping company. Around this time, Trump fired former Coast Guard commandant and evicted her from government housing.

THANK YOU REP Greene
America does not need our enemies to take over by buying up our land.
This just shows how deep the Biden Treason goes.
