Republican Reps. Unveil Legislation to Combat Biden’s ‘Failed’ Enforcement of Partial Birth Abortion Ban

Self and Biggs

Republican Reps. Keith Self of Texas and Andy Biggs of Arizona introduced legislation Friday to strengthen the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003.

The Ensuring Justice for Victims of Partial-Birth Abortion Act would ensure compliance with the ban on partial birth abortions by forcing the attorney general to investigate any violations of the law and would require the Department of Justice (DOJ) to compile an annual report of such violations. The bill was prompted after several aborted babies, known as the “DC Five,” were discovered discarded outside of a Washington, D.C. abortion clinic, at least one of which is believed to have been killed as part of a partial birth abortion.

Phoenix High School District Refuses to Comply with Trump Administration Crackdown, Declares Itself a ‘Safe Zone’ from ICE Arrests

Arrest

In response to the Trump administration’s new policies cracking down on illegal immigration, the Phoenix Union High School District (PUHSD) issued a resolution earlier this week declaring it will not comply. The Department of Homeland Security issued a directive on January 21 rescinding a policy implemented in 2011 under the Obama administration that prevented illegal immigration raids at or near schools or other “sensitive locations” unless an “exigent circumstance” exists, such as a national security threat. PUHSD’s resolution, issued in response, stated that the school district is a “Safe Zone” so the school can deny ICE officials information and entrance onto the premises.

The resolution claimed that federal immigration law enforcement activities “harmfully disrupt the learning environment.” It said, “[I]t continues to be the policy of PXU not to allow any individual or organization to enter a school site if the educational setting would be disrupted by that visit…”

Commentary: Trump’s Big Stick Strategy Will Make America Respected Again

Donald Trump

Despite his best efforts at saber-rattling, Colombia’s socialist president Gustavo Petro bent the knee and agreed to take in American deportation flights carrying Colombian nationals, after only a day of receiving tariff threats from President Donald Trump.

While America and Colombia have been long-time partners in coordinating anti-narcotics efforts, newly elected President Trump hit a sore spot this past Sunday after he commenced deportation flights to the South American country. While world leaders reasonably expected Trump to execute his immigration policy the moment he stepped back into the Oval Office, this knee-jerk resistance from Petro only exposes the corrupt and unbalanced relationship the United States has had with Colombia for the past four years under the Biden-Harris administration.

Trump Birthright Citizenship Order Leaves Loophole Allowing ‘Birth Tourism’ Method Used by Chinese Nationals

Chinese Woman

One loophole in President Donald Trump’s executive order banning birthright citizenship could permit Chinese nationals, along with other non-citizens, to continue obtaining U.S. citizenship for their children.

The order’s language leaves room for the growing international surrogacy industry — which allows intended parents from across the word to hire an American woman to carry their child to term — to continue operating as the newest means of “birth tourism.”
