Tennessee U.S. Representative Tim Burchett (R-TN-02) is one of seven Republicans who will serve on the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets.
The task force, chaired by U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL-13), will work to “examine the declassification of materials in the public interest” in line with President Donald Trump’s executive order to declassify records of the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr.

Trump’s executive order entitled “Declassification of Records Concerning the Assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr.” was signed on January 23.
In addition to examining the files related to the Kennedys and Dr. King, Luna said the task force will also investigate UAPs/USOs, the Epstein client list, COVID-19 origins, and the 9/11 files.
“The federal government has been hiding information from Americans for decades…We will work alongside President Trump and his cabinet members to deliver truth to the American people,” Luna said.
In addition to Burchett, who said he was “honored” to serve, U.S. Representatives Nancy Mace (R-SC-01), Lauren Boebert (R-CO-04), Eric Burlison (R-MO-07), Eli Crane (R-AZ-02), and Brandon Gill (R-TX-26) were also selected to serve on the task force.
“We have assembled a team of dedicated leaders who have consistently fought for transparency and full disclosure,” Luna said in a statement upon announcing members of the task force on Tuesday.
“Our mission is simple: to ensure these documents are released swiftly and in their entirety, giving the American people the truth they deserve. I appreciate my colleagues for stepping up to this critical task and putting the public’s right to know first,” Luna added.

I want to see the assassination files, for sure. But in particular, I want to see the Epstein list AND the Congressional slush fund list. If someone is guilty, we need to see it. If they were setup, which would be easy to believe, considering the last four years, they should present their case.
That’s what Secretary Hegseth did and we did not turn against him. Though obviously he made some bad personal decisions in the past. we STILL owe him and his fellow veterans our thanks and non-condemnation since he has changed his outlook.
