Good Luck With That” mocks a banner in Wired. Likewise, the Wall Street Journal joined the frenzy, noting that “industry, doctors, and their supporters in Congress probably will resist Kennedy’s unconventional health ideas.” The alarmist reporting exposes the strategy to discredit Kennedy, claiming he’s a “conspiracy theorist and vaccine skeptic” who supports “dubious and unproven therapies,” and if Trump follows his dangerous agenda, “preventable diseases like measles and polio could make a comeback.” These hit pieces against the Make America Healthy Again – MAHA – movement backed by Kennedy, the first two dropping a week before Trump’s victory, were a red light flashing the abject fear of the revolving-door lobbyists and their corporate media allies over the prospect of  the former Democrat ending the K-Street scam that has led to the capture of our federal agencies by the very industries they are supposed to be regulating. Complaint Alleges Michigan’s Top Election Official Misrepresented Facts to Keep RFK Jr. on Ballot

Michigan’s top election official, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, a Democrat, is the subject of a bar complaint over her department’s actions to keep independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s name on the ballot.

State Sen. Ruth Johnson, a Republican who immediately preceded Benson as secretary of state, filed the bar complaint alleging that Benson manipulated procedures to undermine the Nov. 5 election.

Though the debate organizers invited both Johnson and Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) to the debate, Johnson was the only candidate to appear, which Moses told The Tennessee Star prompted her to attend the debate in a bid to participate, largely due to her past involvement with MLK50, a local media organization that began in Memphis.

Wisconsin Supreme Court Rules Kennedy Will Stay on Ballot

Former Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has lost the fight to remove his name from Wisconsin’s ballot after the state Supreme Court ruled against him.

In its decision, the Court found that Dane County Circuit Judge Stephen E. Ehlke exercised proper discretion when denying Kennedy’s request for a temporary injunction and keeping the former candidate on the ballot.

Judge Rules Kennedy Will Remain on Wisconsin Ballot

A Dane County Circuit court ruled against former Independent party presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., siding with the Wisconsin Election Commission’s decision to keep Kennedy’s name on the state’s ballot this November, despite his withdrawal from the race and request for removal.

Kennedy’s lawsuit argued that, absent a compelling reason, the state’s different treatment for third party candidates violates the Equal Protection Clause and the First Amendment. It claimed the different deadlines for ballot withdrawal for major party candidates versus third-party candidates – Sept. 3 for the former and Aug. 6 for the latter – are unlawfully discriminatory.

Last Thursday, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. withdrew (kind of) from the 2024 presidential race.  He didn’t have to, and in the case of 40 out of 50 states, he actually didn’t.  But, he also didn’t have to endorse Donald J. Trump, and yet he did.  As I waited for his press conference, I wondered: What could drive a lion of Democratic party royalty to side with Trump?  The answer turned out to be a trio of existential crises.  As RFK Jr. explained, he and Trump are aligned on three critical issues, and they are of such existential importance that he was willing to set aside their differences to work together.

Beyond being a refreshing break from the mind-numbing drumbeat of Trump’s opposition, RFK Jr.’s remarks were a stark reminder of why two-thirds of Americans believe the country is moving down the wrong track. He first took aim at the military-industrial complex’s perpetual provoking of foreign wars and followed up with the alarming assault on free speech.  These were, however, just the warmup acts for his primary grievance: the moral and legal corruption of the food and pharmaceutical industries, assisted by their captured agencies, e.g., the FDA and USDA.
