Governor Brian Kemp took to Twitter to follow-up critiques of his Democrat gubernatorial opponent, Stacey Abrams, on vital 2022 political issues.
“Stacey Abrams lied about election integrity, supports the Defund the Police movement, and wants to raise taxes on Georgia families as they fight Bidenflation. I’ll keep fighting to ensure Georgia continues to be the greatest state in the country to live, work, and raise a family,” said Governor Kemp on Sunday.

Kemp’s comments come shortly after Abrams stated that Georgia is the worst state in the country to live in.
“I mentioned that we suspended the gas tax, we’re sending a billion dollars back to the taxpayers and we passed the largest state income tax in history. She came out and opposed all of those things,” said Governor Kemp.
Abrams recently said voter suppression remains a big problem in the Peach State.
“Well listen, I would say that she is attacking my record because her record is coming out now and it is horrible and it is not where Georgians want to be or where they want to go in November of 2022. You know, she said that we were going to suppress the vote with our elections integrity act, we just had record turnout,” said Governor Kemp.
In an Instagram post, Abrams accused Kemp of divide and conquer tactics.
“Brian Kemp sees two Georgias: one for those doing already well and one where he actively leaves people behind. Brian Kemp doesn’t care — but I do. I will fight for #OneGeorgia, where everyone can thrive,” she said.
Kemp commented on hypocrisy that Abrams displayed with regard to school mask mandates.
“You also remember that ridiculous picture of her being in the classroom where you had a school that had a mask mandate but she didn’t need to wear one because she’s better than everyone else and then she had to change her story about that,” said Kemp.
Kemp also called out Abrams for her alleged support of the removal of the Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star game after the passage of Senate Bill 202.
“It’s the same story with Major League Baseball pulling the All-Star Game that cost small business owners over a hundred million dollars. She was pushing that behind the scenes and then came out and said ‘no, don’t move the All-Star Game,'” said the Georgia Governor.
Kemp declared that Georgia citizens want a gubernatorial candidate that will help maintain Georgia as a great place to flourish, despite Abrams assertion to the contrary.
“Georgians are figuring [it] out. They want somebody that’s going to be consistent, that’s going to be truthful with them and that’s what we’re going to do all the way from here to November to make sure our state continues to be the greatest state in the country to live, work, and raise our families despite her opinion of it,” he said.
