Renew.org Presents June 26 Discussion with Dr. Carol Swain at Harpeth Christian Church

Renew.org is presenting a Sunday, June 26 discussion with Dr. Carol Swain to be held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Harpeth Christian Church.

The event is titled “A Discussion with Dr. Carol Swain: What Does Countercultural Living Mean for Disciples of Jesus.”

The event is free to attend. Guests are encouraged to RSVP on the event website. Harpeth Christian Church is located at 1101 Gardner Dr., Franklin, Tennessee, 37064.

Additionally, the event website says, “When you RSVP by filling in and submitting the form below you will be entered into a drawing for free resources including Dr. Carol Swain’s book. The drawing will happen live at the event and you must be present to win.”

The event will feature Dr. Swain’s book, Countercultural Living: What Jesus Has to Say About Life, Marriage, Race, Gender, and Materialism, and signed copies will be available for purchase.

Dr. Swain’s bio at renew.org says, “Dr. Carol M. Swain is a former tenured professor at Princeton and Vanderbilt Universities, and a nationally known political commentator and public speaker. She is the author or editor of nine books, one of which (Black Faces, Black Interests: The Representation of African Americans in Congress) won three national awards.”

“Another of her books, The New White Nationalism in America, was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. Carol’s more recent books are Abduction: How Liberalism Steals Our Children’s Hearts and Minds and Debating Immigration (2nd ed.). She is the host of the Be the People podcast and “Two Minutes to Think About It,” heard nationally on Bott Radio,” the bio reads.

“In addition, she has appeared on Fox News, ABC Headline News, CNN, BBC Radio and NPR, among other outlets. Carol’s opinion pieces have been published in The New York Times, USA Today, CNN Online, the Epoch Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal,” it concludes.

Dr. Swain is an all-star panelist on  The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy and appears frequently on the program.

Renew’s website says, “We are disciples of Jesus from various ethnicities, generations, nations, and communities and we champion all of Jesus’ teachings for disciple-making and disciple-making movements.”

The organization is a “collaborative network, equipping millions of disciples, disciple makers, and church planters among all ethnicities.”

Renew frequently hosts free events like this one that feature world-changing Christian leaders like Dr. Swain. TheBlaze’s Jason Whitlock, who is based in Nashville, was featured at an event that was held in December of last year.
