Illegal Alien Charged with Teen’s Abduction in Virginia

An illegal alien living in Williamsburg was arrested on December 14 for allegedly kidnapping a teenaged girl, as confirmed by Breitbart.

However, the public was not alerted that a violent illegal alien, Brando Alex Pastor Batz, 19, had been living among them.

“The City of Williamsburg’s primary concern in this news release was to inform the public that the suspect in a serious crime had been arrested,” Investigator John Heilman of the Williamsburg Police Department (WPD) told The Virginia Star. “It is not standard practice to include a suspect’s immigration status.”

In fact, WPD described Batz as a “Henrico man.”

“On Dec. 14, 2021, members of the Williamsburg Police Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) arrested Brando Alex Pastor Batz, 19, of Henrico, for abduction and contributing to the delinquency of a minor,” the police department’s press release said.

Breitbart confirmed that Batz is from Guatemala, and citing a U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) official, said he was “first encountered by U.S. Border Patrol in Hidalgo, Texas, in January 2015 but was never deported.”

According to the report, though, ICE has now placed a detainer on Batz. If he is freed from local custody he will be arrested by ICE and deportation proceedings will begin.

The 17-year-old victim was reported missing at the beginning of October but was later found unharmed in Henrico.

Federal agencies participated in Batz’s arrest.

“On Dec. 14, the victim was successfully recovered and Brando Pastor Batz was arrested without incident with the assistance of the Henrico Police Department, Henrico Gang Investigations Unit, Henrico Directed Action Response Team (DART), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI),” the press release said.

Batz has been charged with one count of abduction and kidnapping, a felony, and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a misdemeanor. He is currently being held at Henrico Regional Jail West.

Police did not provide information about his bail status.
