Former US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley shut down rumors that her book tour was an attempt to replace Mike Pence as President Donald Trump’s vice president on the 2020 ticket.
“I will tell you, it’s amazing how this vice president stuff still keeps coming up,” Haley said during her Tuesday interview on FOX News’ The Daily Briefing with Dana Perino. “The vice president and the president are a great ticket together. They’re solid. Solid enough that they’re going to win together.”
Haley also added there was “no truth whatsoever” that she would look to become vice president.
“I think Mike is great for the job and I think that he’s the right partner for the president,” she said.
This rumor re-appeared when former Republican strategist and current MSNBC contributor said on MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe that he believes Haley is using the book tour to become vice president.
“She wants to be vice president,” he said. “She wants to be vice president on the Republican ticket in 2020. And I think there’s an overwhelming chance that Trump will dump Pence to put Nikki Haley on the picket.
Back in August, Haley addressed this issue publicly on Twitter by offering her “support” to Pence.
“Enough of the false rumors. Vice President Pence has been a dear friend of mine for years. He has been a loyal and trustworthy VP to the President,” she said. “He has my complete support. ❤️🇺🇸.”

Furthermore, last summer Trump also denied he would replace Pence with Haley on his 2020 presidential ticket. He noted that “you can’t break up a team like that,” according to the Daily Mail.
“Nikki Haley represented us so well, and our country so well. I love Nikki, and there’s places for Nikki, and Nikki’s future is great, but Mike Pence is the person, 100 percent,” Trump said.
Haley served as US Ambassador to the United Nations from January 2017 to December 2018. Before serving in the Trump administration, she was the governor of South Carolina from 2011 to 2017.

So I heard on an interview that Nikki Haley had with Phil Valentine that her visit to promote her book next week in Brentwood or maybe it’s Franklin she will be introduced by her special friend former Gov Bill “never Trumper” Haslam. I’m wondering if good old Bill will be jumping on the band wagon to support Bloomberg’s run for Prez? He sure did love him some Bloomberg back when he was the Mayor of Knoxville and supporting Bloomberg’s gun control group. I’d say Nikki’s affinity for Bill Haslam says it all about her. She’s a phony!
