A Tennessee man who pleaded guilty to exploiting a 12-year-old girl as part of his participation in the Nihilist Violent Extremist (NVE) network, 764, was allegedly leading a “devil worship” group while in Blount County Jail, federal prosecutors said in a court filing earlier this month.
In his 2024 plea agreement, Kyle William Spitze admitted to affiliation with 764, an NVE offshoot group called HarmNation, as well as two counts of production of child pornography, one count of possession of and accessing with intent to view child pornography, and one count of knowingly abetting the distribution of animal crushing videos.
Prosecutors originally alleged Spitze produced material involving at least 30 minors, with 19 identities confirmed by law enforcement, though his plea agreement mostly incorporates allegations involving Spitze and his 12-year-old victim, while acknowledging a second, 15-year-old victim.
Spitze was scheduled to be sentenced on Tuesday, and U.S. District Court Judge Thomas Varlan reportedly granted the 77-year sentence prosecutors requested. Varlan was appointed by former President George W. Bush.
Before Spitze was scheduled to be sentenced in court, prosecutors told Varlan that Spitze was the subject of 12 disciplinary infractions between June 2024 and May 2026, ranging from improper attire to “hiding razor blades.”
One of the disciplinary issues, according to the filing, alleged involved Spitz and other inmates engaging in sex acts. They were allegedly part of a “devil worship” group led by Spitz.
“On June 2, 2024, shortly after Defendant had transferred into the Blount County Jail, corrections officers learned of [sic] Defendant and two other inmates were performing sexual acts on one another,” according to the supplemental filing the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) made to its own sentencing memorandum.
The filing then alleged Spitze is now “said to be running ‘Colts Harmnation’,” which it said “is described as a devil worship group.” It claimed that one of the inmates who participated in the sexual acts with Spitze “had a Colt Harmnation symbol cut into his chest with a razor blade, and the same symbol was found on the wall in the ‘cave.'”
Prosecutors also revealed that Spitze was moved to the Blount County Jail because he allegedly continued to communicate with one of his victims after his arrest, from inside a Laurel County Corrections facility. It also claimed Spitze accomplished this by speaking with his father, “who assisted him in contacting and intimidating his minor victims.”
Last December, the DOJ announced that it obtained a guilty plea from one of the leaders of 8884, which prosecutors said was “related to 764,” who victimized a minor living in Tennessee.
Weeks earlier, a Tennessee mother said her minor daughter was groomed by a 764 member.
