Crom’s Commentary: Infrastructure Bill and the Government Mob

Live from Music Row Monday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed the original all-star panelist Crom Carmichael to the studio for another edition of Crom’s Commentary.

Leahy: At this time it’s time today for a Crommentary. What is today’s Crommentary?

Carmichael: Michael, this infrastructure bill, which has a bunch of garbage. It has a few good things in it, but it also has a bunch of garbage in it. And the bad things will come out here soon.

You were talking with a Congressman Burchett and as he said, nobody knows exactly what’s in it now that bill apparently has been sitting around a long time because they ended up having to pass exactly the bill that was in the Senate, but nobody expected that to actually happen.

So what Pelosi has done is she has taken what she can get for now. I don’t know if you saw what happened to Joe Manchin over the weekend.

He was trying to come out of a parking garage and a bunch of January 6 type people accosted him in his car. And by the way, he was at much more risk than any member of Congress was on January 6. So where’s the outrage?

Same thing with Krysten Sinema. But in this case, Krysten Sinema was at least in an airport. In this case, this was a car. Who knows? Somebody in that mob could have had a gun, could have had a sledgehammer, you don’t know.

And here’s a U.S. Senator is coming out of a parking garage. And this is the type of thing that Joe Biden says is just all part of the process. Well, I don’t think accosting people is part of the process and it certainly isn’t constitutional.

The media claims that it is, but it’s not. The Constitution says you can peacefully assemble. Not stopping somebody’s car and banging on their car and screaming at them is not the definition of peaceful assembly.

What we see now is the next iteration of the Democrats’ game plan, and that is just brut intimidation to try to get more than they’ve already passed. And by the way, what they’ve already passed does not add to the deficit.

And so it’s not paid for. But that’s the way they do things. So this next round, we now see that we’re going to be going through months where members of Congress are going to be intimidated by the mob. And so the battle is not over.

Winning Virginia and winning many other states and cities across the country was a big deal. But the mob has obviously not learned anything because the mob is the government now.

And it will continue to apply as much pressure as they can until the money that is used to fund the mob, and that is the unions. And until they are disbanded, we’ll have no peace in this country.

Leahy: That’s Crom’s Commentary for today.
