Live from Music Row Monday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed the original all-star panelist Crom Carmichael to the studio for another edition of Crom’s Commentary.

Leahy: It’s time for today’s Crommentary.

Carmichael: You know, Michael, you watched what’s gone on since the last time you and I were together, which wasn’t all that long ago that two big things have happened. One is the ridiculous budget that passed and the so-called build back better, which is nothing but built-in inflation and chaos which is a better term for it.

And then also you had the Rittenhouse verdict and the response from the left for a verdict that seemed to me to be obvious when you looked at the facts. But that’s the key point. Democrats don’t anymore want to look at the facts.

The institutional constraints in this country are just as far as the Democrats are concerned, completely gone. If you’ll recall when the judge put a stay on the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate for employers with over 100 employees.

The very first reaction of the Biden administration was we’ll just ignore it. Go ahead and do it anyway. So the institutional constraints of the courts for the Biden administration are just an annoyance.

Then you look at their complete breakdown on the border, which is all intentional. They want as many people to come across our southern border with as many drugs, fentanyl, and all of the terrible things that happened as a result of an open border policy.

And that’s another institution constraint that gone. And then now you’ve got this bill that they claim is $1.75 trillion, but it’s really closer to $4.5 trillion. What they’ve done is they’ve taken a whole bunch of the spending in there, and instead of spreading it over 10years, they do it for one year and then stop.

Then it shows up in the bill as only 1/10 of what the Democrats plan to spend. Let me repeat that again. It shows up as only 1/10 of what the Democrats intend to spend. Their enhanced child allowances of $3,600. for children under six and $3,000. for under 17, they run for one year.

It’s the most expensive part of the program. It runs for one year at a cost of $130 billion. But they intend for it to run all 10 years, which is $1.3 trillion. And I’m going to go on through the rest of the program and talk a little bit about this particular bill and if it passes, it will lead to just incredible inflation.

I mean, inflation like this country has never seen. When Biden says he’s not going to have a tax on the middle class to appease people, he’s just lying through his teeth. But he’s been doing that on all of the other issues that we talked about.
