Anonymous sources have claimed that federal investigators have accumulated “sufficient evidence” with which to formally charge Hunter Biden, the son of Joe Biden, with federal crimes relating to unpaid taxes and false statements about a gun purchase.

Breitbart reports that the claims come from “individuals with knowledge of the probe,” who first went to the Washington Post on Thursday. The decision as to whether or not to charge Hunter will ultimately be made by U.S. Attorney David Weiss, who was first appointed by President Donald Trump in 2017.

The ongoing federal investigation into the president’s son includes potential charges of tax fraud, money laundering, gun violations, and foreign lobbying violations. Hunter attempted to settle the case out of court with a $1 million payment to the IRS over the previously unpaid taxes.

In response, one of the attorneys for Hunter Biden, Chris Clark, did not deny the possible charges, but instead turned the blame onto the Department of Justice (DOJ) for allowing one of its officials to leak to the press.

“It is a federal felony for a federal agent to leak information about a Grand Jury investigation such as this one,” Clark said to the Post. “We expect the Department of Justice will diligently investigate and prosecute such bad actors.”

Any possible charges against Hunter would only draw greater scrutiny to his father’s involvement in his schemes, as Hunter was only able to secure most of his foreign business deals by using his father’s influence. While the elder Biden has repeatedly denied any knowledge or involvement in his son’s business transactions, overwhelming evidence and various testimonies have confirmed his involvement, with the most recent example being another bombshell interview with Hunter’s former business partner, Tony Bobulinski, on Tucker Carlson’s show.

The most infamous example is Hunter’s involvement with Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian energy company that gave him a position on its executive board, despite him having no prior experience in the energy sector. When the company itself came under investigation for corruption by Ukraine’s then-Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, then-Vice President Joe Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion in foreign aid to Ukraine unless then-President Petro Poroshenko fired Shokin, which he ultimately did. Biden subsequently boasted about this at a public foreign policy panel.

This is the Biden administrations lame attempt to show they are tough. he’ll be charged with some minor offenses in the hopes that this will satisfy the public outcry. That’s not going to happen. After the commencement of the next legislative session (if we actually make it that far) The Biden crime syndicate will be exposed for all it is during Mr. Magoo’s impeachment attempt.
