First Annual ‘Good Coffee Fest’ Benefiting Local Nonprofit Coming to Nashville October 15

A new type of festival is coming to Nashville this October with all proceeds being donated to Harvest Hands CDC.

‘Good Coffee Fest’ is being put on by Humphreys Street Coffee Shop in partnership with Harvest Hands CDC.

Harvest Hands CDC is a “catalyst for Christ-centered, holistic community development working alongside our neighbors to further education, healthy living, spiritual formation, and economic development in South Nashville,” according to its website. Humphreys Street Coffee Shop is a social enterprise of Harvest Hands.

In a Facebook post, Humphreys Street detailed that the festival will feature a variety of coffees from around the world, all provided by the local coffee community. The festival will also include live music, specialty crafted cocktails, unique food experiences, and local art vendors.

“Good Coffee Fest is just what its name says – a coffee-forward festival bringing communities together to have fun, and for a greater cause. We are uniting our service industry and providing unique coffee, food, and drink experiences to Nashville’s residences and visitors,” the Facebook post reads.

All proceeds of the festival will go to benefit the continued growth of the Napier-Sudekum neighborhood. Napier-Sudekum is home to the largest barracks-style government housing complex in the United States and is one of three districts in Nashville with the highest rates of violent incidents among youth. With the proceeds from ‘Good Coffee Fest,’ Harvest Hands will continue to meet its mission of “cultivating holistic community development” within the neighborhood. This includes promoting education, healthy living, spiritual formation, and economic development in the South Nashville neighborhood.

‘Good Coffee Fest’ will be held on Saturday, October 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Outfield, located at 416 Chestnut St. in Nashville.
