U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) on Friday endorsed Manny Sethi to replace the retiring U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN).
Sethi announced this on his campaign’s website.
“Tennessee deserves a true conservative who supports President Trump, is pro-liberty, and will fight out-of-control federal spending. I believe Dr. Manny is the right choice. Like me, he’s a physician, not another politician. We need more outsiders in Washington, and I’m proud to endorse him today,” Paul said in the press release.
Sethi responded by calling Paul “a strong voice for liberty in the US Senate.”
“I look forward to working with him, standing on the side of liberty, prosperity, and a return to the Constitution,” Sethi said.
“With under nine weeks until Election Day, we’re seeing momentum and this is more evidence of just that.”
As The Tennessee Star reported this week, Sethi said Nashville Mayor John Cooper and other Democrat mayors nationwide are too timid to protect people from rioters.
As The Tennessee Star reported, protestors in Nashville resorted to violence last Saturday following a rally for George Floyd, who died in police custody in Minneapolis. They vandalized the Metro Courthouse and, later, parts of downtown Broadway.
Cooper embraced the protestors and attended the rally.
Rioters have resorted to violence nationwide.
“What we saw this past weekend was political correctness run amok: cowardly Democrat Mayors, like John Cooper, are more concerned about political correctness and about what the liberal media thinks, than about protecting the people in our cities,” Sethi said.
“This cannot be allowed to continue. Our leaders have a moral duty to protect our citizens’ life, liberty, and property. They must step up. I am calling on every Mayor and Governor in this country to use every means at their disposal if the lives, homes and businesses of Americans are threatened, and to stop the violent, ANTIFA-led mobs ripping through our cities. They will not quit otherwise. We cannot allow ANTIFA to tear America apart. We cannot allow them to burn our cities, to harm our people.”

Dr. Sethi appears to be the most qualified candidate in the field now. I was glad to see Dr. Paul, another physician, endorse him.

We need more like Senator Rand Paul in Washington D.C. because the primary job of our government is to protect Liberty for “the smallest minority”, obey and be restricted to its enumerated delegated powers in the Constitution.
