Expansion of Northside Hospital into Cobb County is underway following a private groundbreaking last week, according to recent news release.
Representatives of the Knoxville-based Realty Trust Group (RTG), which is providing, among other things, advisory services through land purchase and zoning, joined with Northside personnel for the Nov. 3 groundbreaking for the medical office building.
RTG strives to anticipate its client’s needs and overall industry demands to expand technology and human resources to meet the growing needs, RTG Executive Vice President Chad Simpson said.
“With over 100 members spanning six offices, the RTG team continues to experience growth in project size and across all service lines,” Simpson said in a company news release issued Nov. 8.
Another company executive expressed RTG’s pride in the Northside Hospital expansion.
“RTG is proud to partner with Northside along with other owners and occupants for this expansion,” RTG Vice President Charlie Dickhaus said in the news release. “The construction of the three-story building is set to begin within the week with a target completion date of late 2022.”
The expansion will house a broad spectrum of outpatient services “and is a testament to Northside’s dedication to delivering convenient access to quality healthcare to the Cobb community,” Dickhaus said.
“By partnering with RTG, Northside and the physician owners are able to continue to focus on what matters most, taking care of patients,” he continued.
The expansion location in a premier corner is expected to provide easy access to quality healthcare for members of the Oakdale, Smyrna, Cumberland, Vinings and other communities in western Cobb County. The facility was designed by HKS, Inc. and Planners Engineers Collaborative. General contractor on the project is Brasfield & Gorrie.
The expanded facility already is 94% leased with all medical tenants.
In its own news release, Northside Hospital described development of the new medical campus that will be within easy of the surrounding area. The three-story, 60,000 square foot state-of-the-art medical office building is expected to open in January 2023.
“This beautiful facility will be an anchor for Northside in a rapidly growing and diversifying area,” Northside Hospital Marketing and Communications Vice President Lee Echols said in the hospital’s news release. “Northside Medical Cumberland should be a welcome addition to communities like Vinings, Smyrna and the West Cobb region, bringing improved access to health care for all those areas.”
Northside Hospital and Urgent Care Group also announced this week the opening of Health Choice Urgent Care in Chamblee, in DeKalb County.
